●2017紐約馬拉松（TCS NYC Marathon）將於11月5日（周日）登場，上午8時30分從史
泰登島開始，穿越全市五大區到曼哈頓中央公園終點，下午5時左右結束。來自世界各
地的長跑好手屆時將齊聚紐約，參加這一世界馬拉松大滿貫之一。跑者親友或對馬拉松

also, ppl might think their skin is oily when they have 痘痘，but actually
it's the skin holding onto any oil they can therefore it means the skin is
actually dry. so, to solve the problem is to use dry skin products and not
the other way around. anyway, that's what happened to mine, may not be
suitable for everyone.
seriously, i use that and my face looks much much smoother and brighter now.
Highly recommend. LOL |

主要感觉是条件好，价钱也贵。整个幼儿园就是一个大豪宅，后院和侧院有比较大的草
地和playground。参观了各个教室，正值午饭时间，老师们帮娃们把饭盒里的食品装在
一次性的盘子里。有个一岁多的小孩正在被喂饭，还有个两岁多的小孩第一天来，老师
正坐在他旁边。外面玩的小孩也有好几个老师在监督。整个园子没有看到一个小孩哭，
感觉还不错。
full time每天7：00am到6：00pm，没有最长时间限制。一年只有9天假，很适合工作狂宝爸宝妈，可怜的娃：（
6周~两岁以下每月1575，老师学生1：4。
两岁的1395，老师学生1：8。
3~5岁的1250。
学费包早饭和上下午点心，午饭自带或交5刀。Qcom有10% off。 2nd kid有10% off。

我也说说自己给宝宝找daycare时对几家daycare的印象吧。
1. A Brighter Future
是去年5月是看的。 这家是给我印象最不好的一家。 很多感觉和Westmore一样。软件
硬件都不好，也不明白为什么收费也不便宜。也许是靠近公司多的Sorrento valley &
torrey pines?
房子很旧，黑黑的，暗暗的，像破旧的仓库厂房。 重点看的的infant班,说因为经济不
好，关了一个班，只有一个班。一间很小的屋子，5，6个小宝宝，躺着的宝宝被扔在一
个像bean bag的东西上，老师用脚时不时踩踩去晃动。老师看上去都很年轻，很漠然的
样子，有宝宝哭，有宝宝乱爬。没看到老师有pay什么attention。没看到有swing,
bouncer之类的设备。
看到的大孩子班貌似很热闹。很多孩子，很多activities。 比对infant班的感觉稍好
些。但条件还是满简陋的。
再说playground吧。 院子里， 没有什么游玩设施。就扔着几个旧轮胎，我还好奇

发帖数: 7 | 10 租房在CarmelValley 靠近Carmel Mountain Rd最好，因为小学好--你还不用管中学高
中。记得搬来时SanDiego County前五有三个在这里，全沿着Carmel Mountain Rd，有
Ocean Air， Sage Canyon， Torrey Hills，另外两个在La Jolla。当然有童鞋指出排
名不重要，更多靠自己，表示同意。
Ocean Air， Sage Canyon 附近没见过Apartment，可以找私人租House；Torrey Hills
附近有Torrey Villas，Archstone Torrey Hills 和 Torrey Ridge 三个小区。Torrey
Villas最大最贵，Archstone最近，但基本区别不大。其他Apartment Complex 去的小
学不是很好，当然比起不算La Jolla 的SDU 还是好的，比上不足而已。
Carmel Mountain Rd是离开QCom-UTC-UCSD北去最后一个不堵车的地区；据我所知住

this is really personal. the two are fairly different.
pros for NYC
cosmopolitan, center of finance, art, fashion, entertainment, etc.
cons
dirty in many part of the city, people always seem busy, rushing for
something, a some sense of lonely. humid in summer and cold in winter, best
time are spring and fall.
pros for SF
cleaner than NYC. also center of art. dry and warm most time of the year.
people seem happier and relax, the city feels brighter.
my personal choice would be SF |

doesn't mean it's good, as i mentioned earlier, each piano's tone color
is different, some are brighter (Yamama is typical), some are warmer,
some are lighter, some are heavier... etc. you need a professional to
try out for you and see which one is better. As a piano teacher myself,
i recommend warmer tone with heavier keyboard, dont pick those light
keyboard, it's bad for student's technique.

is seldom a problem for me. I live there and commute to Sunnyvale everyday.
It takes about 25 minutes one way. Besides the good schools, you can get a
relatively larger and newer (~10-year old) house comparing to Cupertino and
PA. For anyone who does not need ranch 99 within walking distance or prefers
brighter houses over 小黑屋, Evergreen is not a bad choice. |

Yamaha in general sounds brighter than Kawai. It is very good for popular
music and band as it needs to stand out among those loud gittars and drums.However, people play classical music always complain about "metal" noise.
Kawai is warmer and gentle in tune (no metal noise) so it is good for classical music in general.
You dont see many classic music concert using Yamaha. Steinway is always the

1) Kawai is more suitable to older kids and sound is stronger
Yamaha is more suitable to younger kids and sound is brighter
2) Yamaha service only cares about current and future. this means
if your used piano breaks down, it is harder to find a replaced part.
Kawai provides replacalbe parts for old Kawai.
What is your opinion about comparing yamaha and Kawai? Thanks a lot. |

I don't think there is that much difference, except the ceramic one looks a

CCFL stands for cold cathode fluorescent lamp, which is the back light used
for LCD TV or flat panel monitor, they are instant-on and works in cold temp
among many other advantages. They can also be very bright, almost like look
into sun if you get the higher light output version.
I always buy mine online (many sellers).

The one on Broadway seemed cleaner, brighter ,the food was good and
expensive , probably have to cover the expensive rent.
The one in Richmond I only went there for lunch , I ordered chicken noodle
soup, the noodles were all short and broken, their excuse was people only
order that for baby :(
Maybe Broadway is a better choice.
