People in here started to love small biotech stocks about a year ago when
Zhuxi's ARNA had a 10 day sunny bars in a row. Even at time, I reiterated "
don't touch small biotech stocks". Very simple, always forget small biotech
stocks even today you see a biotech stock jumps 1000%. |

她的研究结果，主要是让你们去看看他们的辩论。关于这篇文章，我多说两句。
Ermakovade 的实验算是很系统的研究了转基因对小鼠健康的影响。很有意思的是，人
们指责 Ermakova的实验设计有问题，借此否定她的结果。但我看了 Marshall的评论，
着实可笑，首先 Marshall先入为主，说谁谁已经证明转基因没有害处，所以 Ermakova

发帖数: 6830 | 15 今天听了一个转行讲座。也不能说是转行，应该说是转出学术界去。
来的两个人同一个小biotech公司的，一个斯坦福博士毕业去了麦肯锡，从麦肯锡做了
五年以后连着做了两个startup，这是第二个，去年这个才起来，找他做CEO。另一个是
博后几年以后去了大药厂，然后小厂，然后大药厂，然后来了这个去年才开始建的小
startup做Chief Science Officer。
说是现在新闻上说的药厂研发都冻结了是很片面的。虽然big pharma都在裁研究岗，但
是其实过去两年里面出现了非常多的biotech IPO，因此其实岗位比以前是多了。所以
想去企业的不要只盯着大pharma，startup虽然每个都很小，但是架不住数量乌央乌央
的。而且感觉他说的biotech和pharma也还是有区别，前者更偏科研，对很多追求挑战
的人来说也很有意思的，并不是一成不变的没有科研挑战。
当然也不是说机会多随便投就行了，自己硬件还是要有，paper什么的。反正现在企业
界都是一个岗位几百份简历。其他条件，对口是一方面，另一方面你科研面广（比如换

植物转基因与人类健康这个话题，最近争论很是激烈。 偶发现争论的双方对植物转基
因并不了解，或者一知半解，仅凭常识在那里推理。于是觉得很有必要站在一个中间的
立场写一篇“科普”之类的东西，让争论双方对于转基因有一个大致的了解，说话时不
至于总是搬运“常识”的东西。生物研究进步很快，以前常识的东西，现在早就不靠谱
了。每个人都需要及时更新自己的知识。
先说我本人的观点：植物转基因究竟对人体健康有没有害是要区别对待的！并不是所有
转基因作物都对人体健康有害。如转基因BT棉花，我想公众大可以放心穿其成品或半成
品。有些如口服疫苗的基因工程还是一个很重要的研究方向，应该也没太大问题。另外
如转基因豆油，由于油要通过加工和抗除草剂或抗虫毒素分离，因此可担忧的成份也就
降低了。还有，如果不是长期，而是偶尔或间接食用，也是不必太过于忧虑。对于我们
天天食用的主粮，由于存在长期累及的过程，这种风险显然会很大，需要一个长期的毒

先说一哈，本人从未来过生物版，这是第一次。平时都是在车板修车，菌斑关心国家大
事。来这里也属偶然，主要是被一个讨论BT的贴子吸引近来的。我曾经给一个反转基因
的网友写过一个科普，有些关于BT的内容。既然这里也在讨论，就转过来。算是抛砖引
玉吧。好像在菌斑听说过，在生物版反对转基因，会被狗血喷头的。哈哈，大家嘴下留
情啊。我觉得谩骂，不解决问题，理性讨论则有助于双方的提高。
先说一个我自己的困惑。记得方世民曾经说支持转基因是生物界的共识。如果说支持转
基因
就是支持在中国主粮匆忙推广转基因的话，我是孤陋寡闻，没听说过这个共识。本人好
歹也在一个所谓的主流机构工作，据本人不完全调查，周围十有八九的同事都不支持在
主粮匆忙推广。都还是希望对BT有一个长期的毒理试验。因此，我怎么觉得，方说的其

一方面我有genomics/bioinformatics的PhD；同时我也在修CS master。最后我肯定还
是会去IT业发展的。
但我生物PhD的老板是大牛，通吃医院，学术，biotech/药厂，有无数connection；毕
竟给他当牛做马这么多年，他也赏识我，所以我总觉得应该利用利用他这么好的资源。
所以如果要折中两个方向，什么职位适合我呢？比如biotech/healthcare/药厂的
quantitative/computational的职位？
具体来说，
1. 找healthcare的bioinfor/genomcis/NGS方向的，偏research，和我PhD本行接近，
老板的影响力也能帮上忙。但我觉得发展空间狭小；不然我也不会折腾刷题读CS了
2. biotech/healthcare的SDE，比如做做网站啥的，这个和PhD/research压根没关系，
估计老板的影响力也帮不上忙？
3. 去healthcare做data scientist，这个需要研究精神，这种工作老板影响力能有多
少作用呢？
