我的绿卡排期是07年2月初的，Texas Service Center。指纹打过三次了，最近的一次
是在今年2月份。
7月份收到485的Approval Notice，说是3个星期内会收到卡。8月底开始给USCIS打过好
几次电话，second tier officer都聊过3个了，国会议员的办公室也找过2次了，到现
在USCIS还是毫无进展。
今早打电话居然还要我再做biometrics。USCIS的办事效率之低下让人无语。
但有两个second tier officer跟我说可以去当地做个info pass,他们会在护照上盖一
个"temporary stamp"，这样证明了你是“permanent resident status"，可以自由进
出海关。童鞋们有过这样的经历吗？ |

我是2012年3月到达洛杉矶，拿到社安号和工卡。2013年6月份我母亲，也就是庇护的当
事人，与白人公民结婚，申请婚姻绿卡，并同时为已经超过18岁的我一起申请，试图以
公民子女身份拿到绿卡（因为我心里一直有障碍，不想申请庇护的绿卡）。两周之内我
就接到打指纹的通知，是TEN-PRINT,在打完指纹之后就杳无音讯。直到两年以后，也就
是2015年6月，我再次接到面谈的通知，同时，我母亲的婚姻绿卡获得批准（这期间寄
给她一封信，问她是不是要放弃庇护绿卡，她同意放弃）。
我面谈时移民官看了我的资料，告诉我我不能获批，因为我已经超龄。我向他询问我是
否还可以以庇护身份申请绿卡，他说，“KEEP YOUR FINGER CROSS ON THAT”。接着我
收到一份书面通知，我的绿卡不被批准。于是我决定申请庇护绿卡。我正式发出I-485

先澄清一个概念，讨论DACA不是讨论非法移民大赦。
有川粉一看川普讨论DACA，就以为川普违背诺言要给移民大赦，放心吧，除非川普得了
老年痴呆。
先分解一下几种情况，看看主党为什么总是输。
1. 主党不合作，条件谈不拢
结果就是DACA受益人把怒火转向民主党，前些天围攻流泪叔就已经漏出端倪，而且老川
在昨天讲话中说只要你们谈好了（主党和和党）我就签字，把自己撇的一干二净，表现
出比所有人都同情DACA，不能说他不同情，但这么夸张，呵呵了。
2. 主党合作，形成了一个bill
老川不但收获了修墙，结束链式移民，抽签移民，还收获了好名声，这80万人投民主党
的百分率会极速下降，记住一个事实，即使是墨西哥移民，合法的会投票反对非法的，
这是人性，和肤色无关，只是现在非法的太多了把合法的声音掩盖住罢了。
我的预测是主党不会和川政府达成任何协议，现在都是做样子给民众看，反正都是输，
随着惯性走吧（反川）。

我们参加了biometric screening有$40的discount，再去掉$10的smoking free
discount,preimier还是原来的$51,这样一打折，反而个人基本上只交1刀就够了，小孩
在LP的保险上，新的obamacare，所有的well being checkup就都不用交钱了，原来有
些交个copay，现在copay都不交了。
我觉得这个对中产低于15万的family，还是好很多的，当然前提是你没有pre
condition，有pre condition的感觉保险明显涨了。

visa to enter UK to give a talk in a conference. How long will the
application need? I am in the San Francisco area. Can I apply the visa
through a British Consulate in San Francisco or I have to use services such
as WorldBridge or UK border agency? What documents do I need? The UK
immigration office web site only suggests services such as above. Do I need
any biometrics? It seems that the process is very complicated. |
