标 题: 公司招人，不知道发这里合适不合适，在bay area地区

公司在招人，职位是financial analyst，属于entry level，地点在bay area地区的
emeryville。 薪水不是很清楚，但最低不会少于70K。公司规模不大，在US100多人，
另在国外有近200人。目前发展前景不错，最近3年的revenue每年几乎都double了。
对candidate的要求是在会计或者审计领域有2年左右工作经验，熟悉US GAAP，EXCEL能
力要强。。。等等。
如果需要H1B,公司会承担所有的申请费用（不过现在谈H1B申请好像晚了些）。
有意向的可以给我发站内邮件，比较perfer的是目前有EAD或者working visa，随时可
以上班的那种。

以前用的都是empirical bayes,效果还不错。我想问一下如果用真正的bayesian
analysis效果在某些情况下会好些吗？我可以试一下，但是得出的结论是个案，不具备
统计意义。所以，想请教一下大家。我感觉sample量大时，差别会较小。
另外，我体会empirical bayes有一个优点，就是速度快，如果效果差别不大的化，搞
计算机的喜欢。

这个周六搭上了nightrunner的船，去chesapeak bay钓stripper bass。
周六一早就驱车3小时等在码头，让人惊喜的是居然碰到了传说中的bass，注定这次钓
鱼收益非浅。
中午11点半下水，先开12mile去比较远的大桥附近(CBBT)，据报告那里有大型stripper
。Nightrunner一如既往的生猛， 即使前面开着美国海军的潜艇，还是面不改色，开足
马力，勇往直前的冲过去，导致潜艇护卫冲锋艇冲过来喊话驱赶我们离开。
开到目的地时，大家屁股都快被震碎了。但想着下面有大stripper。就立刻拿起武器，
投入战斗。
大桥附近水流湍急，底下好像都是乱石，我们用storm shad效果不好，而且被挂了好几
个lure。换了几个地方最后一共上了4条，长度在18－20之间。

这周末ncka (www.ncka.org)上有一大帮人去halfmoon bay去kayak crabbing/fishing
。我昨天也去凑了热闹。睡了个懒觉，然后准备东西，到hmb下水都2点了。本来还想放
了螃蟹笼子就去钓鱼，结果到了那发现忘带鱼竿了。而且时间也不够了，不到4点看着
太阳就快落了。3个螃蟹笼子，分别泡了40、30、20分钟，啥也没有。很多人都是放下
笼子就走，然后大半天后甚至第二天再来取。很多人都limit out了。hmb那边抓螃蟹的
太多了，开船的，开kayak的，parking lot上的螃蟹笼子都堆积如山。
昨天的收获：
找到了组织ncka，里面都是玩kayak fishing的。昨天看到了2个装马达的kayak，都没
register :-)。一个台湾人装了个烧油的小马达，把kayak弄得跟装甲车似的。
第一次全程一个人装车/卸车。Thule Hullavator真是个好东西。以后不用发愁一个人
没法装车/卸车了。
在halfmoon bay找到了安全的kayak launch的地点。在harbor里，水很平静。离装车、

周末去掉螃蟹，全都是red rock，有一个还蛮大的 有17cm.拿回家清蒸，发现腥味很大
，后来试吃了一下，发现肉有一股很怪的味道，跟大华卖的dungeness很不一样。最后
都扔掉了。
请问是red rock本来就有味道，还是因为half moon bay的海水有问题造成的？ |

在CR的十四天里，由于看鸟和行程安排，是我这辈子平均起床时间最早的十四天了。凌
晨四点起来去San Jose国际机场赶去Drake Bay的小飞机。出租车司机二话不说把我们扔
到了international departure。机场的international departure跟美国一般的机场没
什么太大区别，至少像个机场；强烈对比之下，domestic departure藏在另外一边，不
起眼像仓库，而且没开灯。天才蒙蒙亮，走过去黑乎乎的一个小停车场，正在疑惑死路
一条，忽然看到左手边一个胡同最里面一处幽暗的（暧昧的？！）灯光，一个人招呼我
们进屋check-in。一个很小的房间，乱哄哄的。国内航班机有昂贵的税费，行李超过27
磅就要付每磅1美元。加上这些hidden cost，最后的花费比机票票面价钱要贵上三分之
一 |
