看看你们去过几个？
排名第三的彼得堡的state hermitage museum，拍过电影russian ark，就记得金碧辉
煌，没看到什么画……
排第15的Yale Center for British Art我也常觉得比英国的画廊都好……小而精致，
各个时期和画家的代表作收集得很精，介绍也很精，看完印象很深。建筑也很宽敞明亮
，令人愉快，不过太亮是不是对画不好。
有个Doha的Museum of Islamic Art。希望有机会去。
台北故宫上榜，北京故宫没上，倒是北京的789工厂榜上有名。说最近有一个Duchamp
and/or/in China的展览，到六月中截止。听着挺有趣，不知道goldy去看过没。

尼尔•耶尼（Niels Jerne）被称为“现代免疫学之父”，他提出的抗体形成自天
然选择学说、抗体多样性发生学说和免疫系统网络学说等三大理论，为现代免疫学的建
立奠定了基础，而且他首创的溶血斑实验，成为了免疫学研究的重要方法。
为了解释白血球抗原接受体的多样性，他曾提出了体基因突变理论。後來他擔任Basel
Institute for Immunology的院長時，Tsutsumu Tonegawa（利根川進）博士就在這個
研究機構用實驗證實了白血球染色體去氧核糖核酸重組產生免疫多樣性的機制。在他担
任巴塞尔免疫学院的院长时，利根川进博士就在这个研究机构用实验证实了白血球染色

另，欧洲有个昙花一现的顶级研究所曾经在basel，basel institute of of
immunology, 在科学史上写上辉煌的一小页，存在30年不到，出过3个诺奖 （利根川进

争全面确立了美国的国际霸主地位.从此国际金融秩序都是在美元主导下直至今日.所以
归根结底一切问题都要回到美元的monetary policy.
1990年以前USD的M2 Money Supply基本和US Nominal GDP 吻合, 换句话说velocity of
money supply长期稳定.今天和1990年以前比大概有30%的gap. 91-94年格林斯潘时期
衍生品大爆发加上Fed一些列policy的变更迅速扩大market leverage ratio. 1995年美

华盛顿州东部之行 （5） - 美酒飘香Walla Walla
从Dayton算起，又是30英里，抵达了Walla Walla。Walla Walla是华盛顿州一个主要的
农业区，这里的洋葱十分出名，每年还要举办洋葱节。除了洋葱，就是当地的葡萄种植
和葡萄酒酿造了。这个地区优良的气候，丰沛的水源，充分的阳光，造就了一个葡萄种
植的理想环境。Walla Walla地区被称为下一个的Napa Valley。Walla Walla葡萄酒酿
造的历史并不久远，1977年Leonetti Cellar成立, 这是当地第一家葡萄酒酿造商，之
后是1981年的Woodward Canyon和1983年的 L’Ecole。1984年该地区正式被划归到美国

顺便澄清一下瑞士的情况：
法语区：洛桑大学和日内瓦大学还有洛桑理工是主要生物比较好的学校。
招的老板并不要求会法语，这是肯定的。恐怕这只是一个DECLINE的借口。我知道的新
招的PI很多不会法语，在实验室和学校也基本用不上法语，都是英语。所以不用害怕语
言。（同样的道理，据我听说，奥地利，德国，瑞士德语区找位置也不会拿语言来卡你
，但是一般来说研究所比大学要好，因为大学很多要教学，研究所就不用）
但是瑞士的问题就是经费很好，教授工资很高，（assistant professor大概有13-18万
CHF每年，大概是跟美元1：1，税后大概9-15美元每年）。所以新招PI的标准非常非常
高，可以说很多是不输美国TOP20学校的标准。你要是能在瑞士学校拿到位置，我觉得
你在美国前50的学校应该问题不大。
我具体讲几个例子：
1.去年法语区某肿瘤研究所招：assistant(tenure-track),来的4个人。（下述文章都
是第一作者）

哈哈~Basel离德国太近了，方便啊。。。
我在洛桑的话去法国坐船最方便，就在湖对面，半个小时，但是对面是旅游城市，物价
也不低。。去日内瓦要坐火车。。折腾且贵。。。我是懒人，一般最多是城郊的大型
MALL里面买点肉大概便宜一半吧。。。运气好10-20CHF一公斤的样子。
日内瓦的同志们因为紧靠法国，都去法国采购买肉什么的。。
瑞士本地人也都这么干，所以边境出台了法律，肉好像是每人每天限带1KG，蔬菜水果
我忘了几公斤限额。。。
但是活说回来我在BASEL的同学买东西从来没被查过。。。 |

before then 1987 Tonegawa S also got nonel but TS did his noble paper at
Basel Institute for Immunology in Basel, Switzerland, so it was not
indepedent Japan's contribution
2008 Beijing Summer Olympic (original should be 2000Y) so 2048 or about
at least 10 Ys earlier around 2038 100% contributed CHINA's noble (biomedi)
that dream might come true.
ps: before than even from Taiwan Nobel (biomedi) might be more earlier than
