打电话来的不是议员本人，而是他办公室的职员。
首先关心了一下我的移民申请（这反射弧可够长的）。我趁机向他介绍了一下 NIU 组
织，是一个“全国”性的组织，我恰好是其中的一个在你们议员辖区内的成员。当然，
我没告诉他现在这个组织只剩 2 人在活动。
然后我们接着聊了最近 TSC 处理速度慢于 NSC 的问题。我先前发起了网上请愿，不知

Given avalanche dangers the shovel, of course, is standard gear at this time
of
the year. It does come in handy for all sorts of other things as well. Digging
out a kitchen has already been mentioned and is highly recommended and
necessary if you are exposed to the wind.
Also if you are using a 3 season tent you should use the snow from digging
your tent platform to build up walls around your tent (minimum 4 feet). The

早晨起来，先折腾第一件事———租车。Enterprise的local office派了一人一车来朋
友家接我们。等他折腾到了，俺们也定好了计划，上山要带着行李，希望能在下山的路
上找一住处，少开一个来回。
到了Enterprise，有两人在柜台后服务，一人负责公事公办地做paper work，另一人跟
俺们打岔聊天。看俺们两asian女,租一sedan就上山滑雪，不知他俩是否心理偷笑。 打
岔的家伙一听说俺俩要去Loveland, 立马google出全美top 10 steep slope之一在
loveland，叫Avalanche Bowl。 还一个劲地追问俺俩去不去滑那个top 10 steep
slope, 只好跟他打哈哈，第一次到科州滑雪，不知这里的double diamond有多陡，
mogul有多高呢。
开车出了门就开始折腾TOMTOM。首先这车没油了，就让TOM来帮忙找个加油站吧。听着
TOM的指挥，中间自作聪明的少拐了一弯，兜了一大圈子才找到油。加了油再找
loveland，我们只知道到那个雪场该从I-70哪个exit出 |

winter ascents since it requires snowshoeing or skiing, and there is
avalanche to worry about. |

发帖数: 883 | 14 Snow will not be a concern in the next few days, I think. Check the web and
Vail has basically opened everything except for some conner staff (which is
not a good spot to go anyway in early season, and watch for avalanche, a
lady was buried in Utah and died skiing inbound). There is no sunny days but
windy this week though.
By the way, I for sure can not go on Thurdsay but I will see whether I can
go on Friday :) |

野外实践练习也不过就是练习这些东西的使用罢了。
如果你没有打算搞这些基本装备的话，那还是最好不要在冬季到有风险的地方去，要去

好处：
1、雪崩危险小
2、白天时间长
3、不算太冷，可以少穿点衣服
4、恶劣气候（大风、white out）概率小
5、有可能靴子就够了，不一定非要用snowshoe之类，又节省了重量 |

7000， 8000，乃至11000尺的高峰，都已拜访。如果再去过14000英尺的Whitney，转身
看看，在往上爬该去哪里？
上周看了看Alaska的山，终年冰雪，气候恶劣。被吓了一个跟头回来。那么周围还有更
高些的么？甚至南美和北非？
我猜想不论在哪里，高度15000尺以上恐怕都需要些冰雪攀登的经验，守着一个秃头山
，只有冬天才能练练。 何况秃头山上也看不到crevasse, avalanche. |

发帖数: 6102 | 44 whitney之后，俺看清了爬山，爬高山，爬雪山还是俺努力的方向。现在要下定决心，
积极准备，同时也要招摇撞骗，招兵买马。
timberline在12000英尺左右，这个高度以上，要么是冰雪覆盖，有么是参差。更何况
这种高山都不是dayhike所能拿下的。针对这种情况，今年冬天计划着重联系：
1）雪山经验，着重欺负秃头山，初雪爬，复雪爬，融雪也爬，努力适应不同雪况,大坡
直上直下。只可惜秃头山没有avalanche,crevasse，但绳队可以练习。
2）野营经验。overnight packing,克服需要洗澡不能混帐的心理障碍，紧跟山妮，肥
猫，爬雪山，挖雪洞。
3）9月开学在即，正是野营器具打折的季节，制定采购计划，帐篷，炉灶，背包，全面
鸟枪换炮。
恳请la各个隐居或显居的爬界前辈出山或支持，出人出力。也煽动新手从现在开始加盟
。高山之巅，白雪融融，云低天高，风景无限。 |
