An autopsy has not yet been able to determine the cause of death for Elisa
Lam, a Vancouver woman whose body was found in a hotel rooftop water tank in
Los Angeles.
Lam, 21, was last seen in the lobby of the Cecil Hotel on Jan. 31. A staff
member, who was investigating guest complaints of low water pressure,
discovered her body in a water tank on Tuesday morning.

On Friday, Dr. Shiping Bao, the medical examiner who examined Trayvon Martin
’s body, admitted, “I do not remember anything, zero” about the autopsy
itself. The defense said that he was relying on his notes on the case, to
which the witness answered affirmatively. The witness repeatedly spoke over
both the defense attorney and the judge, and was repeatedly combative
regarding his autopsy. |

I work in Baltimore and have family who work in City Hall, and the rumors I
have been hearing (no idea if they are true) is that the autopsy confirms
Freddie Gray swallowed packets of heroin he was selling as he was fleeing

然后又说I was kind of surprised they didn't do any autopsy BEFORE the
decision for the surgery.
自己糊里糊涂同意先手术后病理，然后又到这里来表达surprise，首先是对自己的孩子
不负责任，然后有跑到这里来吓唬别人。
如果英语没学明白，就别讲英语。AUTOPSY,尸检 BIOPSY活检。I was kind of

我们第一年基本都是AP和autopsy call. AP的schedule基本上是7：30am到5:00pm. 一
天grossing,一天sign out big cases,之中穿插lecture和biopsy.如果on autopsy
call,那就啥活都不用干，专门等autopsy.
Grossing: 就是orient标本和dictate有点不习惯，但是感觉慢慢在变好，因为我们是
sub-specialized,所以不用一个人处理所有的标本，grossing day 最多干活干到六点
多，如果有太多的标本，院总就自己给弄完了，这一点实在是很spoil我们了。
Sign out big cases: 这个挺有意思，就是找attending pathologist一起sign out,和
他们边聊天边学东西。不同的attending喜好都不一样，所以现在gross的时候拿不准都
会打电话问一下或者直接叫他们来。
Program对我们这两个月的要求是熟悉正常的histology,感觉要求挺靠谱，就是自己没啥太大的motivation学习，先检讨一下。

handled by medical examiner or coronal office.
Find a lawyer specialized in personal injury (yellow book or mouth to mouth
reference, local lawyer is the best option) is the only way to get this
thing done.
Since the autopsy was performed by forensic pathologist, you don't need re-
do the autopsy. The lawyer will find his/her own forensic pathologist (as

outside hospital without history), hospital usually know this is a potential
lawsuit case and will refer to ME office ... so repeat wont tell u more.
if what the autopsy report said is true that your child have a rather rare
congenital condition, it would be hard to prove the other's wrong doing:
imagine if she fall in your own back yard, the outcome maybe the same, becoz

PA program一般都比较competitive，每个program每年招收的人数很少，小的program
大约5-8人，中等的12-16人，最大的program应该是quinnipiac university每年招24-
26人。我所知道的录取比例大约1/9-1/10。
1.Prerequisite courses
每个program的要求都不太一样，不过大概包括chemistry，organic chemistry，
biochemistry，microbiology，biology，anatomy，physiology这些基本的课程。如果
上过pathology，histology，immunology，cell biology，genetics这些课程，那更是
巨大的plus。
这个program的外国人很少，其中一个原因是大部分program要求prereqs必须on us or
canada based transcript，也就是说即使已经在美国博士毕业，如果这些课是当年在

autopsy in addition to the one planned by state authorities. Justice

Iowa City Police say an autopsy has been scheduled with the Johnson County
Medical Examiner's Office for a body found in the trunk of a car Friday
night.
Police believe the car is associated with Tong Shao, 20, who has been
missing for nearly 20 days.
Shao is an international student studying chemical engineering at Iowa State
University.
