bronchitis is much more serious illness than asthma, is that correct? It
actually may affect my decision whether to buy a new house, get a new career

Doctor didn't give me any prescription like beta-2 you mentioned. Can I take

发帖数: 285 | 4 娃四岁，从小对温度还是其它什么东西敏感，经常冬天早上起来会流鼻涕咳嗽。从两岁
开始上幼儿园起，经常感冒咳嗽，时不时咳嗽吐一床。大概从3岁起到现在（刚刚4岁）
，总共有6-7次出现哮喘症状，每次持续两三天。症状都一样，就是晚上咳嗽不消停，
呼吸有点急促，到了白天明显好转，我们以为好了，接下来的晚上恶化，呼吸困难，心
跳很快，发低烧，第二天赶紧去看医生，去医生那里测血氧比较低90-95%，医生就会给
吸Albuterol, 然后症状得到缓解。在去医院之前一般在家也会给inhaler，但是没有医
生那里的那种装置管用。
上次去看医生，说是过敏引起的，开一堆抗过敏地药。我们没有查过过敏源，没有湿疹
，所以不知道是不是过敏。20天后复发，我昨晚给孩子吃了抗过敏地药，没有任何用处
，昨晚又折腾一夜，呼吸困难，给了albuterol inhaler 稍稍缓解一些。今天去看另一
个医生，说是病毒感染诱发并确定地说是asthma，还让天天用flovent inhaler来预防
。真的要天天用药吗？
我们没有家族史，很不愿意相信孩子得了哮喘，但很担心孩子将来得chronic asthma。

，好象有什么样的感染。 但咳嗽不太多。 数日前我见一个医生,他认为是ASTHMA。 但
我看了一些网站、 我的症状不是典型的哮喘. 只是总感觉呼吸道受感染，偶而有浓谈
。有趣的是美国医生认为每一个呼吸问题是哮喘，但在中国，我们经常听到有关支气管
炎。
支气管炎比ASTHAM更严重, 是吗？

bacterial infection (less common).
Asthma strictly is not caused by infection, but rather an increased
reactivity of your airway to external stimuli, which often involve an
inflammatory process not related to infection.

chronic cough or throat irritation. It will be responsive to PPI (proton
pump inhibitor), which is available over the counter now.
In terms of other causes that might be labeled as chronic bronchiolitis,

and which one is bronchitis. a bronchoscope and airway lavage can give the
final diagnosis for most of cases. But the question's: is it necessary? For
most of the cases like yours, beta-2 agonist is the drug of choice to
relieve the symptoms, and antibiotics should be administered if there is
fever, leukocytosis or yellow sputum. That's it. |

是舍不得，好在有Target打折。不过据说密封性不如Miele的，我没仔细比较过，但是
德国的东西确实好，也是不便宜。
Shark Steam mop是用来拖地板的，没觉得比Libman的拖板强多少。我还是更喜欢拖板
。我最近进了一个Mint，跟Roomba一样就是个Scratch Surface的货，又慢又擦不干净
，看着它们干活真着急。
有Asthma，可以做一次Air Duct Cleaning，然后加上整个房子的Humidifier。平时勤
吸地，擦灰用Swiffer的那个Duster，然后用布擦。马桶用Lysol，没什么味。如果是地
板，可以先用Roomba吸一下，不要扫不然灰到处都是，然后再拖。厨房搞得勤就用白醋
，不然都要用厉害的化学东西，就得都出门再搞。 |

娃persist ent wheezing差不多俩月了
病史如下，娃17months，有eczema，但是outgrow 了。fulltime in daycare
3月有咳嗽，流浓鼻涕。偶尔听到wheezing。和儿医提到wheezing，她说不要太容易给
娃贴标签。上抗生素10天，效果明显。
4月中搬家后，收拾院子。娃经常在边上玩。
娃开始明显wheezing，同时runny nose， cough。尤其是哭闹后明显。
5月初看儿医。当时在诊所做inhale albuterol。o2 sat 97%. 治疗前的o2 sat 没查，
娃哭闹厉害。儿医说，wheezing在albuterol 后有改善。开抗生素10天，和albuterol
液体。

昨天，这些人折腾了一天，白天，晚上皮啦啦，也不知道谁把谁杀了，谁把谁带走了。
反正我先生和孩子被绑架了，就不知道是不是已经遇害了。我本来是打算睡觉的，但他
们头上，地下装电磁波攻击器，让我几乎窒息。虽然我没倒下，但其实他们在我身上扎
的毒针已经蔓延，我能感觉到我的呼吸有窒息的感觉。我想我对他们已经非常仁慈了，

“还是听那个PI说，有人把免疫系统分为两大分支，一支负责监视寄生虫病原体什么的
，另一支和过敏啥的相关；这两分支相互平衡。最近有报道有人在过敏还是哮喘患者体

好了点，又突然严重起来。同意各位姐妹说的，一定要看医生。免得小毛病拖成大毛病
。我们就是被hurrican Sandy给耽误了一个多星期，不然不会严重起来。总之希望这个
药有用吧。小人太受罪了
还有孩子去年也咳嗽过，奶奶给了冰糖梨，燕窝蜂蜜什么的很快好了。可能那时候不严
重，严重了完全靠食疗压不下去了

supposed to be diagnosed in such young baby. As you correctly
mentioned, dry cough, allergy, wheezing can be interconnected. It is
possible that your baby will continue to have symptoms as she grows up,

呼吸很快，达到56次每分钟，略微有体温，咨询了护士之后，说由于呼吸频率高，体温
的原因，让立刻去ER。。。本来还犹豫，担心ER要等，被护士一说慌了，赶紧奔医院了
。。。这里说一下，小宝还是慎重些，ER没那么可怕，可能我们比较小，情况比较紧急

of correlation with cold.
If it's long-term chronic cough, one possibility is
cough-variant asthma. But apparently LZ's cough is after
a cold, and she has some nose related symptom, so it's more
likely to be post-nasal drip.
LZ can go to see a doctor. If doctor suspect it's cough variant
asthma, he will give you an inhaler. If inhaler works, it may
indicate an asthma, otherwise it's other types of coughs. |

发帖数: 1211 | 48 Asthma is caused by narrowing of airway upon over reaction toward certain
stimulant. It is not uncommon that asthma is presented as coughing. Cold
air is a well known trigger for asthma attack. I am not sure what you mean
by "咳嗽变异性哮喘". If you are still not sure about the diagnosis, doctor
can use a peak flow meter, or perform a pulmonary function test to confirm
the diagnosis.
All asthma problems should be addressed adequately. Most medications are
inhaled and act on the airway directly. |

should be diagnosed as chronic bronchitis. in most chronic bronchitis
patients, cold air, cigarettes and fog/smog etc. all can cause severe
exacerbation. this looks similar to asthma. in practice, it is not necessary
to say whether there is also asthma because the treatment of this part is
the same. in theory, if you want to distinguish, in simple asthma, the

还要看那个吸气呼气的loop图是什么样的。
Any night time awakening, wheezing, SOB, chest tightness, any trigger,体检发
现了些啥？
Chronic cough work up起来是比较费事的。但是基本上大部分是由rhinitis/
postnatal drip,asthma(asthma也可以有种asthma叫cough variant asthma), GERD引
起来的。
你要是信不过你的医生，你就让他refer你去看pulmonary or allergy doctor吧。俺也
给不了你啥建议了。也没法给，因为你不是我的门诊病人，不了解你的情况，而且没有
医患bond的义务在里面，不能误导。 |
