Innovation 和 Environment 给的分还不错，但两个reviewers给approach打了5分，他
们的批评是：
1. the proposed approach seems more technical than investigative.
2. Unclear what factors may interfere with the approach.
我的申请属于应用技术研究，没有什么hypothesis，偏生物工程领域。想resubmit，大
家有何好的建议把resubmission proposal修改得更investigative一点，解决
reviewers关心。

panel。这个帖子只是谈谈我一点想法，对proposal review 过程的
一些猜测。Federal grant里，我只对NIH还算有点心得。写过一次NSF
惨败，reviewer comments也让人不知所措，所以后来就没再写。我英
语其实很烂，因为自己词汇比较差而且马虎，用词经常张冠李戴，我的申
请也被批过写的烂。我还在很努力在提高自己的过程中。所以这个帖子只
是抛砖引玉而已。
这里我想谈的是我对proposal写法的一些基本层面上的心得，无关英语还
是中文。我觉得自己虽然英文很烂，但是语文不算差。我选择用中文讨论怎
么写英文proposal，也是因为这个。
我觉得要写好的proposal，最重要的是意识到reveiwer是被迫不得以来读
你的proposal，而且他手上同时还有好几份被分派下来的proposal，你的
proposal如果读起来太累太无聊太...，随时可能被扔进垃圾桶，然后被按
上几句不阴不阳的批评。最后辛辛苦苦写的proposal，不但没拿到钱，连拿

born in less developed countries and chooses biology as his major, say, by
mistake?
He has a strong background in physics, thus probably he will choose
something similar to structural biology as his major. Then, he tried to
implement something new approach to blabla research, and let us assume that
he chooses determining protein structure as his thesis topic.

enthical. That's my main concern.
If I approach A or B, probably they would not hire someone who betrayed his
