国式的方法是请你的公司的HR（Human resource）出面和insurance，医院协商解决，
如果你的PPO是你的husband／wife的公司sponsor的family plan，和他／她的公司的HR
联系。一般大点的公司都会有专门的负责benefits的部门，那些人是公司雇了专干这事
的（但你要学会和他们合作好）。祝你好运气！
记住下次约appointment时一定要告诉他们你约的是Annual check ，这个是preventive
care，就是你没病没不舒服只是做预防检查 100％ covered，不是普通的office
visit，这个是你觉得有病或不舒服时要看医生，这个是要trigger deductible和copay
的。这两种不同的appointment在于Annual check 的priority在office visit之后，也
就是说，你可能要等一到两个月才能看annual check，而office visit 你只需要等一

不在，第一次的appointment是护士接待，填一堆表格，开一堆验血单，给一些资料。
然后会帮你约第一次OB的appointment.如果你的OB正好不在，会安排其他代班OB,他们
要保证你可以约到12周左右的唐式。我是5周多见的护士，安排得7周见的OB,预约的11-
12周的第一次唐式。网上订不了prenatal appointment的，只能打电话给appointment

现在新雇主 B 在给我办理H-1B transfer，appointment是从09/01/2012 to 06/30/
2013，故HR告知我的新H-1B会until 06/30/2013
但是考虑到一年后将来的雇主 C 的appointment会从09/01/2013开始，那么这里面会有
一个两个月之久的gap，请问这是不是一个问题？
另外，H-1B的时间一定要跟着appointment吗？我现在雇主 A 当初给的是两年的
appointment，但是H-1B给办了三年的，明显不需要和appointment的结束时间一致。我
是否可以请新雇主的 HR 给我H-1B办到 08/31/2013 以避免gap问题？

我们要去的这个中心即是赫赫有名，又臭名昭著的 Nebraska Service Center (NSC).
NSC, 又称 Lincole 中心，位于地瘠民贫的 Nebraska. 由于该中心的办公楼毗邻繁忙
的铁路枢纽（Amtrak 火车站仅在数百米之内），南来北往的火车噪音造成了该中心的
日益低下的效率。据 Michael Chertoff （Homeland Security Secretary 见图）的密

LD的FP早到了，周五的appointment
我的情况：1／x RD，我和律师都没收到我的notice，但是都收到LD的了
结果今天逼着律师打电话，uscis撒谎说同时寄出的，并且他们也没收到退件。恶心死
了。
最后的结局是，因为我的appointment太近，他们给我发传真。

Today I just made appointment at San Jose DMV, the earliest available date
is July 31 already.

长吧？上次我向大家请教的PD还没见。这个是被我的attending老爷爷拽去的。周三，
老爷爷告诉我，周四没有门诊，和他这个PD朋友有appointment.他反复强调了两遍，我
满脑子想着大家的建议。周四就赶紧穿上大家不看好的黑色套装，简单的收拾了个职业
装，就去见PD乐。按约好的时间到了PDde 办公室，才知道原来我的attanding老爷爷是
有appointment, 不过此appointment非彼appointment。我以为他说的appointment是引
荐我， 他原来是和夫人一起来做physical的。我一出现，估计老爷爷满脑黑线，我一
个职业女性，陪着老头老太在众多候诊病人中非常突兀了。而且还没有等就进去了，被
周围病人侧目了好半天。老头也就不对，反复和PD的护士说需不需要另约个时间，护士
说不需要。老头老太进了检查室，我就等在门口。这是看到一位有严厉眼神的中年男子
从一个诊室出来，一见我，就伸出了手来握手，我马上握了上去，我猜他就是PD了。同
