JAMES ALISON 在斯隆的实验室，去哪里就无所谓了。
WUSTL有悠久的做免疫学的传统，免疫学的方向也非常齐全，当然牛人也众多，除了KEN
和 BOB, 还有VIRGIN, PAUL, EMIL, MARCO, ANDREY。BARY 也不错。相对而言，在这
里，你可能接受更全面的TRAINING，将来的免疫学功底可能更扎实一些，视野可能也更
开阔一些。 |

Offer 选择: Lucent 还是 Verizon? New Jersey
两边给的钱差不多, 离家距离也差不多,
Lucent的活更接近以前的Ph.D work, 但是担心 Lucent 在走下坡路, 怕给layoff.
Verizon 好象比较稳定, 但是做的活更侧重应用, 得做一些coding
不知道走哪个? 想听听大家意见, 谢谢 |

看了关于田刚学术上的不入流品，回想起丘先生的作风。感慨万分。丘先生与别人有很
多合作文章。听说主要都是他的IDEA，但他还是把他的师弟和学生的名字放在前面。不
少人凭此拿了教授位置。当然坏的副产品也有，那是有能力不强的人借此鸡犬升天。

graduate from Stanford with such a so-so job market paper, compared with the
other great candidates, like Andrey Malenko. Where is the standard at
Stanford? I am from a top 20 finance program. I should be able to get into
Stanford if the bar is so low.
I bet Duffie simply fulfilled his academic service as an obligation and did
not contribute much to Wang's paper.
