killed
several by an avalanche pitches up on a gully route recently in Cody. Mark
Jenkins was the belayer! He lived though. There has been horrendous snow,
strong wind and weird snow packs. The route was known to have minimal
avalanche
danger. |

rescue jobs. There are veteran rescuers/wall rats who've been doing this
for decades. Married couples with kid can be found in YOSAR as well. They
earn most of their incomes in the busy summer, thanks to a lot of fuckups
in the valley and Tuolumne meadows, and go climbing Chilean & Argentine
Patagonia in winter time. One of last year's issues of Alpinist featured
some YOSAR members. Was a good article. I've met a former yos |

定能爬多难的，但是基本功不差，也知道好歹，同伴也是差不多的想法，搞冒进的相对
少。
但国内90年代末开始玩攀登的那一批，都是自己摸索的，没有人带他们。70年代的人，
受的是革命英雄主义教育，不怕死，因为社会对生命价值普遍不尊重。有些低级错误犯
了也不知道，就这么跌跌撞撞地爬过来，所以一直出事。说到底，是不知道如何对付
risk management，整体经验不足。很多时候低估了困难，或者根本不知道危险在那里
等着你了。从国内的大环境看，它是一个浮躁的社会，很多人没有耐心花时间把自己的
本领练好了才去挑战未知。 |

发帖数: 171 | 44 2012年7月4日到7月7日之间，我，Leo和Kai一起沿Liberty Ridge路线攀登并成功登顶
了位于美国西雅图附近的Mt Rainier山。Liberty Ridge是Mt Rainier北面的一条山脊
，它的左右两边分别是雪崩不断的Willis Wall和Liberty Wall。线路精华部分便是沿
着这条山脊登至Liberty Cap，然后再经山顶的平台抵达火山口Columbia Crest。山脊
攀登的难度大概是55度雪坡，在接近Liberty Cap的地方有大概两段绳距的AI2的冰坡。
这条路线也是北美50大经典攀登路线（Fifty Classic Climbs of North America）之
一。虽然在这五十条路线中，Liberty Ridge相对技术难度较低，但路线对体力和后勤
的要求却非常高。一般的攀登周期大概在三天左右，从最低点海拔4400英尺（1340米）
的White River营地出发，到山顶Columbia Crest海拔14416英尺（4394米），高差达到

发帖数: 22 | 45 Gouter那条，第一天9:40am从Nid d'Aigle出发，第二天6:40am登顶，下午2:40pm回到
Nid d'Aigle。
除了清晨山顶大风、特别冷（体感零下十几度）没有估计到之外，其他的都还好。
因为没有时间适应海拔（第零天在南针峰随便走了下），第一天晚上一分钟也没睡着，
不过也在预料之中。
我做了很久功课，发现这条线路solo是可行的甚至比结组要更好，也被一路不少欧洲的
alpinists所证实～ |

Arcteryx, so it is often people compare lower end Marmot with higher end
Arcteryx clothing. The Alpinist jacket should be in the same caliber as the
Stinger jacket. |
