各位同仁，朋友，同学，大爷，女王
本人最近走路多，开车少，并正在支援社会主义建设，所以时常不在湾区混，只能考虑
含泪处理掉本人去年才lease下来的一个MB C250
此车是2013年的250，而且还是顶配250！绝对是250中的250，包你满意
MSRP：$45000，你想要的所有配置都有。什么加热屁屁座，倒车雷达等。你来看车绝对
满意
而且居然是税后 $410 一月lease下来的，想当年老子和MB的人谈deal，那可谓是谈笑
风生，其他来lease的小屁孩都被我吓得屁滚尿流，too young, too simple.
里程少了点，只有7500 mile一年。但是，老子从去年8月到现在（15个月），当时为了

whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a God, in short, who is but a

后鞠躬尽瘁，英年早逝。Victoria女王悲不自胜，终身服黑守丧。两人均大力支持文化

革命了革命了！
今天收到NIGMS director 的公开信，里面明白着说单个实验室不应该拿到超过三个R01
（除非是clinical research), 并明白指出这个动向的原因是：
1。在钱的总数有限的情况下，一个实验室拿到多的钱就会导致另外一个实验室拿到的
钱变少。
2。大实验室对博士后和研究生培养不利，因为导师的注意力被分散了。
3。从统计上来看，大实验室的成果并不和资金成正比

有人总结，四种PI不能碰，AP(assistant professor),F(female),C/T(Chinese/
Taiwanese), Unmarried.
当然这些都是一家之言，个人对这些说法持保留态度，细节需要继续探究。有一个标准
可以用于大家加入某lab之前的预先判断，就是PI的变态程度和lab里中国大陆人加上印
度人占总人数的比例成正比，因为大陆人和印度人都是典型的吃苦耐劳又老实（聪明与
否另说），所以要不是对这方面有特殊需求的PI，是不会故意招很多中国人和印度人的
，具体来说，这个比例在三分之一以内的，正常；三分之一到三分之二的，仍属正常，

竟是个什么？》（新语丝20080731）一文中注意到，有多位“中医泰斗”在其
简历中自称曾经荣获世界文化理事会颁发的“阿尔伯特·爱因斯坦世界科学奖”。
从网上检索，按“获奖”时间顺序，这些“中医泰斗”包括：
1985年，中国中医研究院广安门医院皮肤科主任医师朱仁康；
1987年，中国中医研究院广安门医院泌尿外科主任刘猷枋；
1987年，中国中医研究院终身研究员屠呦呦；
1988年，中国中医研究院广安门医院研究员余桂清；
1988年，中国中医研究院名誉院长唐由之；

二，社会能负担的就这么高的比例，中国是长官意志，美国是利益集团，说到底是社会
对这些基础研究有多少需求度，社会愿意付多少钱，而不是基础研究队伍的声音有多大。
二五，社会负担得起的钱是有定数的，如果不做总量控制的队伍数量统计，不负责任的
增大PhD 数量，供求关系失衡还会更严重，这个失衡关系包含千老劳力继续贬值，和pi
的申请书贬值。
三，biomedical PhD除学界的工作外，另一个主要出路是药企研发，实际上，这些年药
企研发的队伍也在缩编。
