most alarms have "valet" mode for disabling the alarm.
mine uses a button, hold it for 3 seconds with key in off
position. look under the instrument panel and see whether
you can find a button. it may be well hidden though. |

It is said all 2012 civic has Immobilizer System.
And Security System Alarm is available for some models.
Official specification of 2012 Civic lx says that it has security system,
which means security system alarm.
So the extra alarm is completely unnecessary and the dealer is a liar. |

最近break in事件频发，我来给大家科普一下吧，一个朋友也在问我这个事情，刚好让
他来这里找链接了。我家去年被break in了，原因是我和LP都经常不在家，当时本来想
装ADT的，后来发现只能装一个motion detector+两个门的sensor，我家窗户多，每加
一个都是好几十块，而且每月租费也涨价了要40多，后来我一发狠装了2套security
system+自动灯光开关

他说，那小偷也过去翘他家的门，然后就到我们家的门。

。也互相讨论下最佳方案。
目前主要有三种方案比较适合SHF。
方案一，使用象adt等，开启monitoring，三五十刀不等，但是mitbbs上评论该类服务
并不是很好，
方案二， hardwired camera system， 走线感觉难度比较大，不能防止入侵。
方案三， wireless ip camera, 有人提到稳定性，不是很清楚。也不能防止入侵
对于SFH来讲，home security的首要目的是防止小偷进入，其次才是万一被偷能留证据
抓小偷。老美警察出警还是很迅速的，破案倒未必，特别是小案件。
1. 威慑作要是第一步，也是很重要的，
插adt 牌子，贴security protection 标签 （门，窗），挂假的摄像头等等，
绝大部分小偷都不是惊天大盗，基本都是柿子挑软的捏，看到你家的有安防系统，可能
就跳过你家去另外一家了。
2. alarm 是第二步，也是最重要的一步，万一有人入侵，你至少马上会知道，而且警
铃会吓跑绝大多数盗贼。

how does any home security system can stop/alarm thief looting cars in the
drive way?
they will know you have an alarm if they break your doors/windows.
but that have no effect on cars in the drive way.
you can send a tow truck to pull away the whole car in the drive way, and
your security system will not sound any alarm at all. |

首先是我生物钟无比准时在同一个时间起来上厕所。为了担心alarm再响一次，我老公
跟我一块去的。结果又是在我上完后正要冲水的时候，alarm又一次准时地响起了。。。
等到alarm自己停下，我一看表，和前一晚一模一样——表针指在4：00am。
虽说有了上回的经验，这次还是被吓出一身冷汗。那一刻真觉得自己生活在恐怖电影里

stay','away'状态，进来人（任何地方）和厅里走动（有探测运动的测头），都会响警
报，保安公司打电话确认密码，不对就报警，如果是打破玻璃进来，就直接报警了。人
在家时发在'stay'状态，探测运动的测头不工作，进来人保安公司打电话确认密码。不
工作时放'off'。自己家人当然有启动和解除的遥控器或密码。看这新闻我还奇怪这家
人怎么没有alarm system呢？一个月几十块钱，当然还是应该装。 |

1) the installation yesterday messed up the car’s circuit
2) the alarm will be removed tomorrow and the dealer agreed to give money
back and check the circuit
The alarm was from a third party and installed by that party.
Hopefully nothing will go wrong tomorrow and nothing will go wrong after the
alarm is pulled out.

们怀疑是他们引来了盗贼， 因为他们经常开party， 引来了不少外人。
第二次发生在Bellevue山上的一个好区。 我们刚拿到keys, 还没有搬进去， 我还来不
及装security system。 损失了一捆toilet paper。 （感谢Bush, 这年头人穷得什么
都要） 盗贼因没拿到什么， 就毁坏了一个toilet paper holder。 我们怀疑是原房主
在通过craigslist出售东西时，把毛贼引到了家。

我们家被偷盗过两次。
第一次发生在一个刚新建的小区。 本以为小区成份简单， 大家都互相熟悉就没事。
所以， 虽然建了fence, 却没有及时装gate. 结果被盗， 损失惨重。 其实在发生前就
觉得小区近来常常停了一些不认识的车。 另外， 对面的房子被出租给一个老黑， 我
们怀疑是他们引来了盗贼， 因为他们经常开party， 引来了不少外人。
第二次发生在Bellevue山上的一个好区。 我们刚拿到keys, 还没有搬进去， 我还来不
及装security system。 损失了一捆toilet paper。 （感谢Bush, 这年头人穷得什么
都要） 盗贼因没拿到什么， 就毁坏了一个toilet paper holder。 我们怀疑是原房主
在通过craigslist出售东西时，把毛贼引到了家。
所以说， 不管你住在好区还是“坏”区， 偷盗的事都可能发生。 这些盗贼是有组织

最近break in事件频发，我来给大家科普一下吧，一个朋友也在问我这个事情，刚好让
他来这里找链接了。我家去年被break in了，原因是我和LP都经常不在家，当时本来想
装ADT的，后来发现只能装一个motion detector+两个门的sensor，我家窗户多，每加
一个都是好几十块，而且每月租费也涨价了要40多，后来我一发狠装了2套security
system+自动灯光开关

不过MM还是先不要那么紧张，尽量放宽心，唐筛的FALSE alarm rate 很高的，我怀宝
宝时也是没过，但羊穿显示一切正常。我的大夫说她行医十多年，总共几十例alarm里
，几乎都是false，唯一一个唐氏还是没有alarm的。早知道这样就不做这个测试了。我
的朋友里，也是有两个和我一样，唐筛后紧张得很，结果什么事都没有。所以我相信很
大程度上，这只是虚惊一场罢了。
MM尽量保证平静的心情吧，这样对肚里的宝宝也好。希望不久你就能上来给大家汇报好

发帖数: 521 | 43 是个好主意，不过这个不能防门窗break in.而且车的alarm声音一般不大，而且不一定
能引起邻居的重视，邻居可能以为你的车报警系统故障了。如果歹徒控制了你，按一下
车钥匙就能关了。还是不能替代完整的alarm system.
一般好点的alarm system都有几个遥控触发器，家里成员人手一个。象这家灭门的，只
要有一个人听到声音，触发警报，就可能救全家。

半夜被alarm 惊醒绝对不可以随随便便出门查看,通过video确定是有贼进入后应该立刻
报警,跟老婆孩子躲在房间里面一边监视外面的情况一面上膛,等待警察到来.警察到来
后 应该将武器退膛放在安全的地方,根警察说明情况后,跟警察一起搜索整个房子确认
安全.
举着枪冲出去实在不是好的选择:
1: 把对方打倒,准备上法庭吧,花个10万8万然后一年的时间,还不算对方的兄弟叔伯回
来报复你.
2: 被对方打倒(谁知道对方是不是揣着乌兹来的,或者是好几个人一起来的),就算你打
倒一个,另外一个望风的从背后给你一枪或者一刀.
不知道为啥大家搞假alarm牌子,真的也就30多一个月,两盒9mm的钱

headcount too. as a result it's almost the same as a self-monitored alarm.
my boss tested by leaving the alarm on after he enters the house, and wait
for the call. the monitoring service never noticed it. he ended up canceling
it. it's $30/month for nothing. |

很久没看小说了，结果被“琅琊榜”给迷住了。看到了深更半夜。
结果看到2点半还没完。
这时候听到开门的声音。。。有人在开我们家的门。。

我第一反应，就是阖上电脑。于是卧室里漆黑一片。
开门声继续，不知道是不是在撬锁。
我想着我的手机在哪里，发现不是在客厅就是在车上。。领导的手机也不知在哪里。
我晕。。
当时我就想，如果小偷进来卧室，会不会对我们不利。。
赶紧摸索着开了灯，然后对领导大声的说，我要上厕所（英文）。老公正迷糊着呢，被
我一叫，说，上卫生间干嘛叫他啊。。
我赶紧起床，看我们家的门。结果外面的人还在撬锁。似乎没听到我们的声音。
晕。。我赶紧把4道锁全所上了。。
这时候听到邻居的声音，很大声的，“you don't belong here, go away"..

这个系统是中国人做的，有些小问题不过都解决了，这是市场上唯一一套能装备所有门
窗sensor，motion detector，glass breaking detector。优点是如果有触发会拨电话
给指定号码，你可以把自己的手机还有亲近好友的号码放在上面。如果家里有landline
就买V系列的，如果没有，买G系列的。我买的是G600，然后插一个prepaid卡，如果被
