I've got a system set up with Verizon FIOS (with their wireless router)
I have a NAS and I ripped CDs with AIFF format. When I use Sonos to stream
the music via home network to my NAIM DAC however, the speed was very bad...
there are at least two hiccups during each song.
What should I do to improve my home network speed(bandwidth??)? Thank you. |

they are "wired".
I then tried apple lossless music on Sonos and then it worked just fine. I
suspect that it's the sonos+aiff combo that screwed things up. |

using home brew NAS and squeezebox. But if the reception of your WIFI signal
is poor at your DAC, than can screw the whole thing up. Try to test it with

这是我从他的 xanga 网页上下载然后再上载到 box 的，袜子你要是听不到的话再跟我

才发现 box 开始支持 N 多种声音文件的预览了，以前貌似只支持 mp3，连 wav 都不
支持；我这个保存和上载的时候都是 aiff 格式的，居然也支持预览了！

其实说的再清楚一点 我们现在讨论的 音源都是CD 你说CD是数字还是模拟的？
CD固有的jitter问题就没有办法解决 好的CD机其实就是转速稳 音频codec解码部分都
是数字的
从这一点上来讲，从你自己rip cd的一开始你就败了，你觉得自己笔记本上可怜兮兮的
光驱jitter能好到那里去？ 不幸的是，网上大部分的上传都是这种类型的。我真心不
觉得这种rip会比apple卖的lossless要好
回到文件格式上来 假设我们定义完美的版本就是wav或者是aiff格式的 那么前面我说
的双盲实验起码证明了：
1.不同文件格式，大部分人能听出之间有差别
2.不同文件格式，大部分人并不能听出哪一种更好
在这种情况下，觉得一味追求文件格式纯属蛋疼，不同的文件格式演变成了不同的风格
。如果一开始就把mp3和flac替换一下不告诉你 你可能也就会觉得flac“听不下去”
我现在的做法是，能收集wav的就wav，实在不行再flac，所有便携设备上一律320k aac
。并非aac真的比mp3强到那里去 是因为aac的tag没有乱码问题
