By the way, 400K a year you can only take home about 230k. others goes to
Dem, Sacramento, AA & La, 401K. if you have a million house bought in 2007
just like me, and two little kids needs $3K a month, you know that saving is
a really good habit.

没差的。最好的区是White Oaks area， White Oaks Elementary 10 out of 10，
Arundel 10，same。Heather 9，Britan Arces 8。但缺点是San Carlos没有高中，所
以只好划到redwood City（就惨了）和Belmont的高中。
San Carlos的居民比较classy，以欧洲第一代移民和老白老美居多，我的感觉是他们大
多教育背景良好，是professionals 不是红脖类的，他们的一些比较好的习惯也沿袭下
来，也有很多嫁给老白老美的亚裔女住这。自然环境优美，很多mature trees，hills
，creeks，我私下以为是peninsula最好的地方。
整个San Mateo County房子贵，房子老，基本是1930s’40s’，50s‘很少有新房子起
来，因为city很难批下来，周围居民反对，city也想保持原样和保护环境。个人认为

行清盘的过程中，发现这些导致他破产的租客仍然住在他的楼房里，激愤难当！他与这
些租客发生骂战，并升级到肢体冲突。事后，租霸恶人先告状，报警把房东送进了牢房
。可怜的房东，因为不懂租务法律，白白失去了心爱的房子，一生的积蓄也化为虚有，
还失去了做人的尊严。
这样的故事天天发生，华人业主的租务纠纷，让许多人倾家荡产。甜美的美国梦，有可
能一下子就掉进官非的深渊。这样的故事罄竹难书，令人心酸。三藩市的租务法律为何
到了这种不公平的地步？这要从其租务条例的简史说起。

三藩市是弹丸之地，面积7英里x7英里（121平方公里），人口约80万。人口密度与香港

很多老黑年轻的时候自己都搞不定，就不提他们老了怎么办了。劳模们很多是天主教徒
，家庭观念挺重的，和传统中国家庭挺相似的。我这里主要说说老白，在红脖子州生活
的纯老白们怎么养老的。
1. 我的大老板。
大老板是本地人，但是娶了个澳洲老婆。后来就搬去澳洲住了。现在50多岁，前两年回
来了，因为他妈妈身体不好了。 他妈跟他的sibling临近，在离我们的城市4个小时的
地方。因为行业问题，他只能在这个城市工作。但是他除了特殊情况，经常周四周五请
假，开车带着老婆看老妈去了，周日晚上才回来。坚持了大半年，直到老妈去世。
2. 我的直接老板
直接老板60多岁了，已经退休了又被返聘的。 他的老妈去年90岁去世的。老爸很早就
去世了。 他老妈一直和他哥哥一家住在一起，得了帕金森症10几年。全靠他哥哥一家
