最后1040 line 22 $210000。
用standard deductions: married file jointly $11600
1040 line 41 = $198400
exemptions: $3700 x 3 = $11100
1040 line 43 taxable income = $ 187300
然后查1040 tax rate table, federa tax = $187300 x 28% - 11930.5 = $40513.5
Effective tax rate = $40513.5/ 250000 = 16.2%
如果有房子的话，用itemize deduction，deduction一项至少是mortgage interest +
property tax + state income tax，
