I have 4GB swap. I was thinking of larger than 4GB program. My boss
asked me to buy 2GB more memory (the motherboard supports up to 2.5G)
so I will remove two sticks to make room for the 1GB sticks.
Do you mean if I have larger physical memory then I can have larger
maxdsiz? I am worrying if the system can give all the memory and
some swap to my program.

近日,来自麻省理工大学的消息说，英特尔已经研制出了一种完全由硅制成的光电子芯
片。据称，这种光电子芯片可以在一束光线上进行200Gb/s的数据编码，而目前同类芯
片之可以达到100Gb/s的数据编码。可以说英特尔的这种新芯片是现在业界最快的光电
子芯片。
英特尔的这种光电子芯片可以把一束光线分成8个独立的调制器，每一个调制器都可以
完成25Gb/s的数据编码。之后光束会变成另一种光线，新的光线能够进行更大数据量的
编码。
虽然这听起来颇有些神奇，但是英特尔目前对这种光电子芯片还不甚满意。现在英特尔
还在进行研究，英特尔希望一个芯片能够安装25个调制器，每一个调制器能完成40Gb的
数据编码，如此一来，光电子芯片就可以搞定1000Gb的数据编码。另外，英特尔还表示

Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 release of Final Fantasy XIII. In an interview in
Famitsu they state that the video and audio is compressed on the Xbox 360
DVDs while the Playstation 3 version will be uncompressed and appear on a
dual-layer blu-ray disc. The 360 version will obviously be released on
multiple DVDs. This means that the uncompressed game will be 25GB minimum，
and of course the Japanese version is exclusive on PS3. |
