Does this have anything to do with the plug samsung uses for the component
cable?

I used to connect the TV to the cable box by a component cable. I changed to
a HDMI cable with a DVI to HDMI adaptor (there is no HDMI output on the
cable box) and the picture is perfect. However, there is no sound. I will
call my cable company to ask them how to fix it.
Btw, the TV I have is samsung. I think samsung's component input (which uses
an adaptor) is not reliable. I never have this problem before with other
brand. Be aware. |
