I have a Garmin Nuvi 255WT. I turned off the GPS and connected it to
my PC with a USB cable. The screen is dark and says: "Charging
battery. Slide the power key to turn on". But 24 hours has past. It is
still the same message. Thanks.

some garmin devices identify the charger and never charge if the charger is
not OEM
