first guess was flea medication...
but we haven't put Java on any flea meds (I wanted to wait till he gets
older) and the vet said he's a big boy
(5 months @ 9.89lbs) but he's very fit and not over weight at all.
A healthy enzyme level should be 0-85 but Java is 198. ~>-<~ Will bring
Java for a second visit in a month to
check on his blood results, the doc said there's a chance it might just go
back to normal.
Hope..hope...hope...hope... (Need A LOT of blessing here...T_T)
Here are some of Java's post-surgery pictures. I gave him some raw chicken
as a treat since he needs
more protein and hasn't been eating all of his can food lately. |

out of it". It makes me really worry b/c overall, Java seems very healthy.

supporting his butt and spine area, he seems to be in pain. So in the
meantime, if we want to pick him up for a brief period (like getting him off
our dinner plate..) we just hold him by his upper body.

I don't think it will make a huge difference.
I did some research online, and seems like "wait a month and do the blood
test again" is part of the normal procedure. In some cases, as the kitten
grow older, the level does go back to normal.
In the meantime, we'll just clean his room (he licks the weirdest places...)
and be more cautious as to what he eats and hope his liver enzyme level
will come back to normal in a month. sigh~
I boiled some chicken for him this morning and he finished the whole bowl.
I hope that's a good sign.
QUESTION - How often do you feed your cat raw chicken/beef??

发帖数: 235 | 17 The vet said it's good to feed cats some raw meat every once in awhile since
they are carnivores, it gives them more protein than cat food and without
all the chemical ingredient. But you have to make sure the meat's been
frozen in the freezer for several hours then thaw.
I started feeding Java some raw chicken last week. He LOVES it...but I only
give him in small amount. When I give him a whole bowl of chicken, it's
all boiled and fully cooked.

I can't believe he's so big already! Talyn is getting big too but Java is
winning! I hope his liver enzyme level go back to normal! Maybe he's just

You have a REALLY cute orange tabby!! My boyfriend and I still want to adopt
an orange tabby (a baby brother or sister for Java)...but with no luck =(

I don't think he's stressed...we got him a cat tree and he loves it...been
playing and sleeping a lot...
However, he doesn't finish his can food anymore. Don't know why. (He eats
all of his dry food) So now I'm replacing his can food with boiled chicken.
He seems to love it...
I don't know what else can I do to help him lower his liver enzyme level =(
Anyone here with experience?
