The seed of my life was layed
Under the silken clumpy dark soil
With a moist tingling of future
Day by day i reach for the sky
Every second i grapple against gravity
Finally i push through the last clump of barrier
Only to find the sun already dampening in the sky
Oblivious to the coming cold
I kept stretching and growing
Oblivious to my final purpose
I fill myself with green and fiber
The day becomes colder yet
The holiday songs promise a coming freeze
But I have faith to see the sun brighten again
Giving Christmas eve dinner a healthy green kiss |
