标 题: H1b to F1 (pending) to H1b？

I was working as a researcher in a university (cap- exempt H-1B), and
applied for F1 status due to family relocation. The F1 case is
currently in pending stage. My last pay stub was 08/22/2011 and the
H1b original expiration was 09/30/2011.
Recently I received an offer from a company and they are willing to
sponsor me a industrial (capped) H1B. I decided to accept their offer and
quit school.
The last day to get tuition refund is 9/15/2011. and I'd like to have
it refunded, since it's 10K+. If I get the tuition refund, I'll no longer be
a student.
what status will I be? how long can I stay in the us after I quit
school before the application of new H1B? what is the best strategy
to handle this situation?
