Dearborn Bancorp Inc. (DEAR) dropped 28% Wednesday to $1.74 after the parent
of Fidelity Bank reported its second-quarter loss widened to $1.78 a share
from $1.19 in the year-earlier period. Regulatory guidelines classify the
bank as undercapitalized as of June 30, the banking firm said. Interest
income rose 12% to $8.5 million. The provision for possible losses on bad
loans fell 13% to $11.8 million. Assets at June 30 fell 5.7% to $933.1
million.
