Cytec (NYSE: CYT) 12.4% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $1.31, 64 cents better
than the analyst estimate of $0.67. Revenue for the quarter was $874 million
, which compares to the estimate of $801.84 million. "We now expect to
achieve 2010 revenues of $3.2 to $3.4 billion versus our prior projection of
$2.7 to $3.0 billion, and as adjusted 2010 diluted earnings per share in a
range between $3.20 to $3.50, up from our prior as adjusted forecast of $1.
90 to $2.40 per diluted share." (FY10 revenue consensus is $3.14B and EPS
consensus is $2.52)
Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO) 6.1% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.15, 1 cent better
than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter was $1.601
billion, including $473.25 million ex-TAC, which compares to the estimate of
$1.16 billion. Sees Q3 sales of $1.57-$1.65 billion.
Saba Software (Nasdaq: SABA) 5.4% HIGHER; reports Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.08,
1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.07. Revenue for the quarter
was $29.6 million, which compares to the estimate of $27.79 million. Sees
FY11 revs of $121 - $124 million and non-GAAP EPS of $0.34 - $0.38.
Consensus sees revs of $117.86 million and an EPS of $0.38.
VMware (NYSE: VMW) 4.6% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.34, ex-items, 2 cents
better than the analyst estimate of $0.32. Revenue for the quarter was $673.
9 million, which compares to the estimate of $654.02 million. Sees Q3 sales
of $680-$705 million, versus the consensus of $671.92 million. Sees FY10
sales of $2.73-$2.8 billion, which compares to the Street estimate of $2.71
billion.
United Rentals (NYSE: URI) 4.6% HIGHER; reports Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.25,
versus the analyst estimate of ($0.29). Revenue for the quarter was $557
million, which compares to the estimate of $525.30 million.
Ethan Allen (NYSE: ETH) 3.1% HIGHER; sees a Q4 charge of about $34 million
on tax valuation reserve. Sees Q4 adj-EPS of $0.14-$0.16, versus the
consensus of $0.13. Sees sales of about $163 million, which compares to the
Street estimate of $164.07 million.
Gilead Sciences (Nasdaq: GILD) 3% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.85, 2 cents
below the analyst estimate of $0.87. Revenue for the quarter was $1.93
billion, which compares to the estimate of $1.96 billion.
Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB) 3% LOWER; announced the commencement of
a public offering of 17,000,000 common shares of beneficial interest, par
value $0.01 per share. The Company intends to grant the underwriters of the
offering a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,550,000 common
shares to cover over-allotments, if any.
Apache Corporation (NYSE: APA) 2.9% LOWER; confirmed a deal to acquire all
of BP's (NYSE: BP) oil and gas operations, acreage and infrastructure in the
Permian Basin of West Texas and New Mexico and Egypt's Western Desert.
Apache also will acquire substantially all of BP's upstream natural gas
business in western Alberta and British Columbia. Apache will pay $7 billion
for the assets, which include estimated proved reserves of 385 million
barrels of oil equivalent. Also reported Q2 adj-EPS of $2.44, 13 cents
better than the analyst estimate of $2.31. Revenue for the quarter was $2.97
billion, which compares to the estimate of $2.81 billion.
Gentiva Health Services Inc. (Nasdaq: GTIV) 2.9% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0
.74, 6 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.68. Revenue for the
quarter was $297 million, which compares to the estimate of $308.50 million.
Reaffirms FY10 EPS outlook. Reduces FY10 rev outlook from $1.23 - $1.26
billion to $1.20 - $1.23 billion. Consensus is looking for revs of $1.24
billion.
Jarden Corp. (NYSE: JAH) 2.8% HIGHER; Ahead of its presentation at the
Consumer Analyst Group New York tomorrow, said it sees Q2 sales of $1.52
billion, versus the consensus of $1.48 billion.
Allscripts-Misys Healthcare (Nasdaq: MDRX) 2.7% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.
18, ex-items, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for
the quarter was $190.9 million, which compares to the estimate of $185.29
million. Sees FY11 adj-EPS of $0.77-$0.79, versus the consensus of $0.77.
Stryker (NYSE: SYK) 2.6% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.80, inline with the
analyst estimate of $0.80. Revenue for the quarter was $1.76 billion, which
compares to the estimate of $1.78 billion. Reaffirms outlook.
Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) 2.4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $3.51, versus the
analyst estimate of $3.10. Revenue for the quarter was $15.7 billion, which
compares to the estimate of $14.74 billion. Sees Q4 EPS of about $3.44,
versus the consensus of $3.82, on sales of about $18 billion, which compares
to the Street estimate of $17.03 billion. Sold 9.41 million iPods, sold 8.4
million iPhones, sold 3.47 million Macs
Juniper Networks (Nasdaq: JNPR) 2.4% LOWER; reports Q2 non-GAAP EPS of $0.30
, 1 cent better than the analyst estimate of $0.29. Revenue for the quarter
was $978.3 million, which compares to the estimate of $954.01 million.
Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) 2.3% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.12, ex-items
, versus the analyst estimate of $0.03 (adjusted number includes $0.06 in
amortization costs). Revenue for the quarter was $1.93 billion, which
compares to the estimate of $1.91 billion. Sees Q3 adj-EPS of $0.10-$0.13,
versus the consensus of $0.06. Sees sales of $1.85-$1.925 billion, versus
the consensus of $1.94 billion. Sees FY10 adj-EPS of $0.54-$0.62, which
compares to the Street estimate of $0.28. Sees sales of $7.6-$7.9 billion,
versus the consensus of $7.82 billion.
Seagate Technology PLC (NYSE: STX) 2.3% LOWER; reports Q4 adjusted EPS of $0
.70, versus the analyst estimate of $0.78. Revenue for the quarter was $2.66
billion, which compares to the estimate of $2.86 billion.
Tempur-Pedic (NYSE: TPX) 2.1% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.46, 4 cents
better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter was $263
million, which compares to the estimate of $248.28 million. To buyback up to
$100 million in common shares. Raises its FY10 EPS guidance from $1.70-$1.
85 to $1.85-$2.00, versus the consensus of $1.86, on sales of $1.06-$1.1
billion, up from $1.02-$1.06 billion previously. The Street is looking for
sales of $1.06 billion.
Cintas (Nasdaq: CTAS) 1.8% HIGHER; reports Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.35, 2 cents
better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter was $909
.4 million, which compares to the estimate of $884.02 million. Sees FY11 EPS
of $1.50-$1.58, versus the consensus of $1.60. Sees sales of $3.55-$3.75
billion, versus the consensus of $3.66 billion.
