one clear point is,i am afraid of doing any type of slow play.
such as:
All in KK preflop, cause otherwise i will see a A on flop almost
every single time
All in at flop nuts flush, otherwise i will see pair at turn or trip at river
every single time
All in at no-rainbow flop straight/set/trip ,otherwise a third same color
card will show on turn.
in a short,i feel every time if i want to trap others, i will get fucked up

yes, you "avoid" badbeats by overbetting out of scare, but you're winning
much less than you should have.
in the long run, it'll be a losing strategy because every one will get his
fair share of "good cards", you need to win some "extra" beyond the average
to make even, or some big "extra" to be a winning player.
keep a notebook of your hands (don't forget the ones you got LUCKY), you'll
find online actually is no diff.

online for a long time.
but once you record every tourney/cash game played, get some statistics in
like 2, 3 months with enough numbers, you'll see (i have to say at least i
am convinced).
i have records since the first tourney i played a year ago, now over ~4000 (
maybe 200k hands) games, i comment on bad beats/bad plays, and collect a lot
of weird hands.
looking at them now, i admit i still have some doubts, but very

often. But it's hard to see it online. Maybe the buyin is too small..

| h*******s 发帖数: 3932 | 9 There could be another possibility. These people adjust their styles between
online play and casino play. To survive online play, maybe you HAVE TO draw
more (this assumes fulltilt favors drawing hand), bet more, and do less slowplay.
Or think of it this way, if most people tend to call with a draw, your
should overbet even if nothing is wrong with the card dealing. That's
because they will pay you off when they should fold.

| m******1 发帖数: 715 | 13 hehe, I don't know how FT got such reputations of bad beats.
I have more winning sessions than losing sessions at FT. For those losing
sessions, I lost them mostly due to bad play, not bad beats.
It may be worth noting if you are short stacked when the bad beat happened.
The shorter stacks are more likely got called, hence more bad beat stories.
| f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 14 good point.
and how do we get short stacked in the frist place? you may be getting cold
cards, or you may have made a series of "not major" mistakes all the way, or
you may be playing the same style all the time and got read by your
opponents in marginal situations, or... in the end, it's down to a "bad beat
", and this is what we tend to "remember" better.
