start working for the new employer immediately upon filing the new H-1B
petition through the new employer. The new employment is authorized
under the H-1B "portability" provision of the immigration law. The law only
states that once it is filed, you can start working. Technically,
once you have something to prove that it is duly delivered and accepted by
CIS, you can start working. The statute does not require the new |
