The other day me and several friends went to have a coffee, and the guy from
Austria pointed to the note on the wall and said: "British people are
really polite. Even for such a note, they would add "please": Please do not
smoke. In Austria, we would say the same thing in a totally opposite tough
tone: "Smoke is forbidden!""
Then we all turned to the French guy: how would you say this in France? He
