Actress Nanako Matsushima, who starred in several popular TV dramas last
year, was the big winner at the 37th Golden Arrow Awards announced Monday at
a Tokyo hotel. The awards are presented to the most-talked-about celebrities
of the year, and the 1999 results further confirmed that the best way to win
fame in this country is to appear on the small screen.
