16 (16)
Dallas
Zack MartinG School:Notre Dame NFP Rank:22
It's not the pick the fans wanted, but Martin will be a terrific addition
for the Cowboys — at any of the offensive line positions. He's a proven,
smart lineman who will keep Tony Romo (sorry, not Johnny Manziel) and his
twice-operated-on back upright.
Round 2
14 (46)
Pittsburgh
Stephon TuittDT School:Notre Dame NFP Rank:33
The Steelers make a classic pick in Tuitt, a long-armed hulk who played much
better in 2012, when he wasn't beset by injuries. The team did a lot of
work on him leading up to the draft and is convinced he’s healthy now.

Arizona
Troy NiklasTE School:Notre Dame NFP Rank:72
At the combine, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians stated his preference for
tight ends who can block. Enter Niklas, a raw, massive specimen who
transitioned from defense two years ago and has the size to dominate. But he
isn't there yet.
Round 3

Houston
Louis Nix IIIDT School:Notre Dame NFP Rank:19
The Texans were considering Nix in Round 2 and get him at a bargain rate.
Defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel gets a poor man’s Vince Wilfork, but a
likely two-down player to start out. A need pick, and a good one.
25 (89)
San Diego
Chris WattG School:Notre Dame NFP Rank:113
In terms of intangibles, toughness and work ethic, Watt carries exceptional
marks. He has a compact frame and can be bowled over by power, but he has
the make-it traits to be a blue-collar starter one day.
