Have you heard Rafael Benitez's remarks about Inter's current injury
problems?
"Let's just say that, given Inter's recent results, we could have imagined
a reaction like that from Benitez. I can understand him on a human level."
Have you spoken to doctor Combi [Inter's chief of medical staff]?
"No, but I expect he was a bit upset by the comments. Combi has been at
Inter for years and he is one of the mainstays of the club, so if Benitez
was insinuating that the club doctor is to blame for the injuries then I'm
afraid he's mistaken."
Have you been surprised yourself by Milito's repeated injury problems,
mostly of which have been on the same leg? Do you think something might
not have worked properly?
"It must have been Benitez's prayers [he smiles]. Unfortunately this is
something we need to look at very carefully. He certainly needs to have a
longer period of rest and it's not something that requires heavy
treatment." |
