it's relaly tribute to early cartoons such as 19th century drawings
1930's Fleischer brothers or tex avery 's work.
one interesting piece that's often precedent to the showing of this movie
is the collaboration of Dali and Disney. "Destino", it's dreamy, strangely
beautiful.

hmm, here is why I felt very sad about this movie:
1. It is all about lonliness. you see the lonely life of the mama,
the boy and the poor dog, the difficult slow move of the boy
practising, etc. When he first got that toy tricycle, there was
a joyful shot of him cycling around which almost made me believe
he rushed onto the street, but no, it was only inside his own
small yard...

from the Hollywood is classy. The humor is completly different and very
subtle, in American's standard.
As alaine has mentioned, the story seems to be a very sad one but the
best part of the movie is that it depicted such a diffiult life in such
a light and beautiful tone.
Life is hard, which is often opposite to fairytales. Using Cartoon which
is more a unreal way to depict the real world is what makes this movie
unique and

可惜我不敢苟同
我觉得这电影很乐观
1。 一个人有了奶奶（那个绝对是奶奶，不是妈妈！）
和狗以后
怎么还会孤独呢？
2。 那些imagination多美好啊
imagination永远都是helpless的
而且就因为imagination不是现实，不能当饭吃,它才美好
3。repitition很可爱
4。哪里过的不都是人的日子，你这么说太悲观了
其实我们看到的可能是同一个硬币的两面
就象活着这本书，别人看了都说惨
我看了以后觉得非常温暖。
和这个片子里的奶奶给我的感觉差不多。

同意是奶奶，我把 son 改成 boy 了，而 mama = 嬷嬷, hehehe
但是我不同意这个 triplet 就不孤独了。影片对此着笔很重，比
如那个院子里面骑车的情节，比如那个被桥挤歪了的家，比如那
餐晚饭。
其实最彰显主题的是它的画风，阴冷的，夸张的形体，没有任何
人情味的建筑，高高在上的轮船，都非常贴切。
我觉得这个片子比较打动我的地方就是直接把伤疤揭开来看，没有
任何的惺惺作态。你从中看出积极的方面来也是理解角度的不同吧。

nod, 这种画风给整个电影刷上了一层阴冷的色彩，包括那种夸张的
陡坡，都会给观众带来一种心理压力，不过也许正因为如此，
天平那头的老太太沉着坚定的形象就显得格外亲切而令人感动。也正是因为这个
老太太...和那条狗，triplet给我带来的印象不是那个阴冷的世界，而是阴冷的
世界中人对人的关爱。hehe.
以前DOTANN说看完BIG FISH后想给老爹老妈打个电话，我觉得triplet也有这个
功能，尤其是看到最后to my parents的时候。
电影里面有两点我觉得特别逗，一个是那条狗做的两个梦，一个是纽约(belleville)
街头肥肥的美国人。
这个triplet今年有两个提名，动画片和最佳歌曲，不知道能不能搞定一个。
我觉得这个片子比较打动我的地方就是直接把伤疤揭开来看，没有
任何的惺惺作态。你从中看出积极的方面来也是理解角度的不同吧。

hehe, 上周末遇到一个葡萄牙朋友, 他说那个老太太是葡萄牙人, 理由是
1. 那老太太长的很象葡萄牙人, 他当时一看就觉得是. 2. 老太太在里面说
了几句葡萄牙语.好象还有第三点,说是老太太弹钢琴的那个曲子是葡萄牙一什么挺
有名的小曲.
老太太在环法自行车赛里面坐的那车叫什么什么来着, 是跟在最后一名自行车手后面的,
所以她孙子其实是最后一名.
他好象还说了一个里面的什么发现, 可惜我现在不记得了.

belleville rendez vous就是经典的迪斯尼动画。前一阵子有个mtv也是
这个风格，好像是赛车。谁还记得是什么歌么？
第二段两个鼹鼠和暖色调的gouache(中文叫啥？）让我想起我中学用的铅笔盒。
不过你们估计没见过我的铅笔盒。王永远见过肯定也忘了。
第三段房子也歪了，狗也胖了，鼻子也长了，天也灰了，导剧本也换成city of
lost children。
