the room constantly flipping his hair like he was some hot shot
so we were like "if u take away his haircut he's worse than a lot of
guys in mainland china, 也就民工水平吧"

真有意思，还想起挺美国人谈起美国黑人的教育。
说，他们的方针是从小就告诉他们，黑人是最聪明的最好的。
和我原来想得正相反，我以为他们受歧视应该是生长的带有自卑感。
不过再一向也对呀，正是因为这样的歧视环境，
黑人家庭一般会特别鼓励孩子。

the chinese mafia", signaling he is ethic chinese? But that might be also
because, well, white people think every asian is chinese. :)

华人太少了吧, 不过这样的independent film, 离个人制作的东西距离
还是太多啦, 里面有几个镜头十分artistic, 可以拿来作MTV...而且觉
的色彩和光线都异常完美, 却不太象印象里LA的阳光苍白.
Notes To Self第一, 重要情节要用摄影机在周围作360度转圈, 直到观
众晕倒.
Notes To Self第二, 为了突出人物表情, 镜头要cut掉头部上下只剩眼
睛鼻子嘴巴.
Note To Self第三, 什么故事里都要有一个神经质不可理喻却又有些可
怜可爱的小主角.
另外这里面Ben是领养的, 因为他一开始去医院接母亲时说的是西班牙文,
Steph的男朋友不知是什么来路, 倒挺象stereotypyical有钱华人后代的.
Soundtrack很不错, 尤其喜欢后来他们high的时候放的那些...

不过想想，那些受欢迎的LATIN电影，
也都是舶来品，
美国产的MINORITY电影就没有什么有印象的

非常传统，好的是它把故事讲的干净紧凑，这个可不容易。导演感觉很是成熟
自信。
这个电影确实有进入主流市场的资格。湾区的大影院也都在上映。

其实书更夸张,但是电影展现在面前的往往更活生生的
要不大家也部会怀念翁美菱了
不过说实话,世界之大.电影上发生的事情总能找出些影子来

的好莱坞社会问题剧情片。手法上干净的线性叙述，对故事情节的讲究，
稳定的摄影和常规的剪辑，都是很传统成熟的风格，可以说甚至比很多
好莱坞的主流娱乐片还要传统。
昨晚看了黑暗中的舞者，太压抑了。单从技术上正好和BLT对比作为艺术
电影的代表。手提的摄影晃得我有点晕。。。

you can't subsitute minority characters with majority, then that'd
be a different movie. i didn't go to highschool in US, but one of
the band i played with while in college, the rest of members are
all ABC, their families are from Taiwan, the way they talk, act,
facial expressions, reminded me a lot in this movie.

之所以受到好评就是因为是黄面孔，STEREOTYPE被打个粉碎
但也不是所有的REVIEWER都被STUNNED,有一个家伙就给了个C
