Director Phyllis A. Howard, certain pending I-485 cases have been transferred
from the Washington District Office to the California Service Center (CSC) for
adjudication, and more will be transferred in the future. The purpose of
this case relocation is to further reduce the backlog. This transfer applies
only to I-485 cases and not naturalization cases.
