The Gaggia MDF is a good burr grinder generally regarded as one of the
better entry level choices for serious espresso. This is the lowest price I'
ve seen it at in several years. I own one and used it for about 5 years
before recently upgrading to a Rancillio Rocky I got off of Craigslist.
A good grinder is the single most important purchase for good coffee. The
Gaggia MDF is a decent espresso grinder and really good for any coarser
grinds. If all you drink is from ground coffee, you'll be amazed at the
difference grinding just before use from fresh whole beans can make.
They also have the Gaggia Evolution in Silver for $199 regularly $349.

Gaggia espresso machines are generally regarded as the cheapest choices for
real espresso. It has a 58 mm portafilter and a "commerc ial" brewing
group and a pump capable of 15 bar. I started with a Gaggia and they are
good machines although some temperature surfing is required to get good
results.
The Evolution can also use Easy Serve Espresso (ESE) pods although why you'd
want to use pods instead of fresh ground I haven't a clue.
