This is for the SF Bay Area only: I booked a last min deal from SFO to
LHR for 2/15-2/22 for only $732 (incl all taxes/fees). This is through Link:

and by selecting their Super Saver fare price. The Super Saver fare is
reduced cause you don't know what airline until after booking (sorta like
Priceline and Hotwire). However, I recognized the flight times presented
and knew it was Virgin Atlantic since I was shopping on their direct site at
first.
I played around a bit more with dates and see the deal through mid-March
weekdays. Find your dates and look for the Super Saver R/T fare $746. With
promo code NY15 (expires 2/14 midnite) entered at checkout, it takes an
additional $15 off to bring your final total to $732.
If you can find a good hotel deal (I'm staying with a friend to save $) and
can take a few days off work for the upcoming holiday weekend, this would
make a fantastic last min getaway!
