shipped The last time I saw something like this happen on Amazon, the
company corrected the pricing error a day later.

If you would prefer to use ebay instead, J&R sells it for $506.69 there:

Compare this to $539 or higher virtually everywhere else--Crutchfield, B&H,
Adorama, etc. etc. all the way down the line. Don't ask me why J&R charges
MORE at their own site than they do at Amazon and ebay.
20mm = 40mm in full frame terms
20mm = 26.7mm in APS-C terms
25mm = 50mm in full frame terms
25mm = 33.3mm in APS-C terms
The 20mm f/1.7 is a great lens, but since it's priced at ~$350, I would
rather pay the extra $150 and haul the extra 100 grams of weight and get
faster, quieter autofocus that works in AF-Continuous mode (especially good
for video), and an extra half f-stop of speed (going from f/1.7 to f/1.4).
The f/1.4 is better in low light and allows for more depth of field blur.
You can't really go wrong either way, though--both are sharp wide open and
the 20mm is actually sharper until somewhere around f/2.2-2.8 at which point
the 25mm overtakes it (same center sharpness but better corners). The 25mm
also controls distortion and CA better, but it's not a huge deal since those
can be fixed in-camera or in post-processing.
