Performance Bicycle is offering the 2011 GT GTR Series 1 SRAM Rival Road
Bike for $899 + tax, down from an MSRP of $1999 in their Deal of the Day. It
has a compact crank with 2x10 gearing, hydroformed aluminum frame, SRAM
Rival components, and a carbon fiber front fork and carbon fiber break
levers.

Currently, the only online one in stock is the XSmall version, but your
local store should have a great chance of having it in stock. Even though
this is today's daily deal, you can go to the store tomorrow explaining that
the online sizing was out, and they would most likely match the price.

I like GT's frame construction, weld are smooth-out like the way Cannondale
does (without Cannondale's price, eventhough they are made by the same
company - Dorel/Taiwan). The drive train is excellent, except the brake (
Tektro), wheelset is good for everyday ride with aggressive setup its asking
to go fast. After 6 month use, I can happily say that I'm very satisfied
with this bike.
I test-rode this bike at the local store. It's awesome. Might want to
consider the Performance Bike Club membership ($29.99) to get 10% back in
store credit, which you could use towards bike service, bike components, or
pedals
