Did a quick search, didn't find anything on this subject...
A lot of SDers participated in the 50000/75000 MR points signup bonus a few
months back through the link that was supposed to target Columbia MBA's, I
found out that I have 40000 points deposited into my account this morning
and I stopped using the card two months ago. All my coworkers in the lab who
applied through the link also got this 40000points. Not sure why this
happened, but I won't say no to free stuff!!! My guess is that AMEX
deposited 10000 in advance, and supposed to deposit another 40000 in 8-
10weeks when we signed up, and a lot of us changed the bonus code into
getting the 75000 points, and we got the remaining 65000 points by manually
requesting it, but somehow the original 40000 points wasn't cancelled.....
and we end up here.
BTW, tomorrow is the last day to transfer MR points to continental airlines.
