try out OnLive and get a microconsole for cheap:

on your PC or Mac to make sure it works with your broadband connection and
that the lag is acceptable. Don't worry if the controls are cumbersome,
the idea is to get a MicroConsole out of this deal. Focus on whether there
is lag :-)
Sign up for the PlayPass for $10 a month (you can cancel at any time. This
now includes 100 freaking games.
Once you are a PlayPass subscriber, you can pre-order Lord of the Rings:
