w*******y 发帖数: 60932 | 1 This is for the Force Action Lightsaber: electronic sounds, lights up, fully
collapsable spring loaded. Caveats: they only have the Darth Vader model,
and you have to order two of them since first one is $29.99 and the second
one is 75% off. But hey, Sith always come in twos right? A master and a
apprentice...

The breakdown is as follows:
$30 first one
$7.50 second one
$6.99 flat shipping
my total was $44.48 for two of them shipped to California...
Never ordered before from here... here's the link on Reseller Ratings:

. Not much info there, just two reviews... like the sith.
There seems to be several different lightsabers on the market...
First the premium one is the Force FX series. Metal construction probably
built better than the one Luke cobbled together after losing his at Bespin,
has a permanently extended polycarbonate blade. Electronic sounds and lights
up. These usually run $100 and up, and for simplicity's sake I'll link to
Amazon's Darth Vader blade for each of these so you can read the reviews
there.

I have the Luke / Anakin version of this and my kids do not get to play with
it.
The second lightsaber is the Force Action series. This is what this one is.
Electronic sounds, lights up, and has a spring activated blade that fully
retracts. Typically runs about $40 range. Didn't find them at B&M stores (
Toys R Us, Target, Walmart) but maybe other stores would have them.

The third lightsaber is the Ultimate FX lightsabers. Electronic sounds,
lights up, and a permanently extended blade much like the Force FX one but
shorter, and likewise non-collapsable. Plastic hilt. One review:
http://www.therpf.com/f9/hasbro-ultimate-fx-lightsaber-review-1
said the Anakin blade was 23 inches. Looked short at the store, I didn't
get it so couldn't say for sure. Looks very nice but I ain't running with a
stumpy blade. Runs also about $40, available B&M at Target.

The fourth lightsaber is the Electronic Lightsaber series. Electronic sounds
, lights up, extendable blade that does not fully retract and you extend
like a Chinese yo-yo by flicking the wrist. These are the ones you find at
Target and Toys R Us. Runs in the $20 range. Had one. In my opinion doesn't
light up so well.

The fifth and final lightsaber is the Basic Lightsaber. Plastic, doesn't
light up, doesn't make sounds, but hey, less parts to break. Does fully
retract. Survived two years of lightsaber duels with my kids... which is
much better than most toys. Great for Padawans.

I hope they arrive in time for the John Williams concert later this month...
