1) Amazon is running a promotion where if you buy select LG LED-LCD TVs you

2) Frys in Dallas, TX is offering the LG 47LV5500 for $699.
3) I added the LG 47LV5500 and the matching soundbar to my cart on Amazon
and called 866-423-5355
4) I spoke with a customer service rep and walked them through the process
of how I obtained the $699 price on Frys. Even though:
a) This item isn't even available to be shipped, you have to pick it up at
the Dallas, TX store)
b) I live in Ohio, and there is no way I would ever drive to Dallas, TX for
this TV.
5) I was granted the price match! The customer service rep didn't even see
anything wrong with the fact that this was only available for pick-up in
store, and ignored the tax that Frys adds because Ohio residents aren't
charged tax on Amazon.
6) The customer service reps at Amazon are not able to discount the price
further until the item has officially shipped, but I picked 1-day shipping
and was ensured by the rep that I would be credited the difference in the
prices ($289.35) as soon as the TV has shipped. She even said she would make
sure to do it herself.
7) Once I placed the order the customer service rep noted... "oh, is this a
bundle?" I replied yeah, but I think everywhere is doing this bundle - I saw
it on Best Buy and Sears, I think it is nationwide." She went away for a
minute, at this point I was sure I was going to fall short of this miracle.
But lo-and-behold, when she came back everything was fine!
