For those of you who enjoy a relaxed upright riding position, Bikes Direct
just got these in stock and they look like a good value. These are high
quality 4130 CroMoly steel (not the cheap Hi-Ten steel you find on Wal-Mart
bikes) which I prefer over an aluminum frame-they just have a nicer ride
quality. I was surprised they are equipped with a genuine Shimano Nexus 3
speed transmission which is unusual in a bike this cheap. The Nexus
transmission is an internally geared hub and you can shift gears even when
completely stopped-great for stop and go city riding. They also have genuine
Tektro caliper brakes and comfortable riding wide 32c tires. They mention
they might have minor paint blemishes.
