High Resolution Surround Sound
In addition to decoding high resolution audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD
and DTS-HD Master Audio, the AVR-891 is also equipped with Dolbys latest
Pro Logic IIz decoding, which provides front height effect channels to
dramatically expand the front soundstage. Pro Logic IIz also provides
superb surround sound from conventional stereo audio sources, and features
Music, Movie and Game surround sound modes.
HDMI 1.4a Includes 3D Blu-ray Compatibility
Equipped with 6 HDMI inputs, the AVR-891 includes the latest HDMI 1.4a
specification, which provides 3D Blu-ray pass-through (Broadcast and Blu-
ray) capability, as well as providing Audio Return Channel. There are also
dual component video inputs for additional HD connectivity. Standard
definition video sources such as VCR and DVD are upconverted to HDMI, which
allows for a single HDMI cable run to the TV, avoiding the expense and
hassle of multiple cable runs.

Audyssey MultEQ dynamic room acoustic correction system features a
microphone (included) to automatically measure the speaker configuration

Quality Discrete Power Amplifier Section
The equal power amp design features 7 discrete power amp circuits, and each
channel is rated at 105 watts (8 ohms, 20 Hz to 20 kHz, .08% THD), and
features Denons Amp Assign function, which allows 2 of the 7 channels to be
configured for surround back channels, or front height effect channels, or
they can be used for stereo multi-room audio.

Allows you to assign speaker outputs to another zone that is independently
controllable through IR commands.
