(It goes on sale for $2.99 on 1-14 in a local flyer)
Here's a decent battery tester from ebay under $2 (not as accurate IMO):

This post is more about saving your AA,AAA,C,D batteries than it is the deal
on the multimeter. You can get these from Harbor Freight for under $3 a
lot of the time with local coupons.
The main reason for the post was that I was about to order a battery tester,
and I realized why not just used my HF Cen-Tech Multi-Meter instead? We
never throw out batteries. They accumulate in a junk drawer in the kitchen
and no one ever checks to see if one or two are good. So they just use new
ones.
What I found out after about an hour of testing them, especially the AA and
AAA, are that they are either completely dead, or have plenty of charge.
Simply put the multimeter on DCV for direct current, and "20". Touch the
red to the positive, and black to the negative.
So when you go to replace your 4 AA batteries in your tv remote, don't
assume they're all bad. Usually the lead battery is dead, and the others
usually are fine. I was amazed how many batteries read over 1.8 volts.
Kept a lot of 1.35, even through they're on their last leg. Out of over 100
batteries that I assumed were dead or almost deal, I bet I only tossed out
15! Here's a scale if you have a multi-meter or battery tester:
AA,AAA,C,D, button cell
Good: 1.28 and up volts
Weak: 1.15 - 1.27 volts
Toss: 0-1.14 volts
9 Volt:
Good: 7.8 - 9 volts
Weak: 6 - 7.7 volts
Toss: 0-5.9 volts
