Three Fingered Jack (3FJ) is one of snow volcano peaks in Oregon. Its
moderate approach (6 miles from trail head to south ridge saddle),
reasonable elevation gain (3000ft), sketchy summit ridge and loose volcano
rocks make this peak a serious one day alpine rock climbing. Perhaps the
only recommended route on 3FJ is the south ridge: start from trail head,
