I couldn't visited it recently either.
It is an Internet forum focusing on development of education and research at
ZJU and other places in the world in general, as well as observation of
nowadays China society with a particular attention paid to rights of
citizens, the rule of law (versus rule by one party) and freedom of speech. Democracy in China is definitely one of the key issue.
For these reasons, I suspect that the approaching sensitive period of 6.4
may the reason that China government shut it down. (The server is currently in China.) The site has been investigated / warned by chinese internet police several times before.
This site is different from most forums from my experience. Most posts there are
constructive, reasonable and rational, without meaningless quarrels common at mitbbs. Regular visitor includes ZJUers (students, alum, current young faculty) in China and overseas, as well as non-ZJUers interested in education and research. Many ZJU alum on this forum have sincere interest in developing a better Chinese society and in how ZJU can play a role in it.
Something worth mentioning: The discussion on this forum has real impacts on new development of education/research initiatives at ZJU. For example, one discussion last year directly led to the creation of a tuition loan program funding ZJU fresh graduates to study for MS/PhD at top universities in the world (including Harvard / Stanford / etc ..) as long as they secure admission by themselves. see this: http://www.zuef.zju.edu.cn/web/show/5291 for the list of 2011.
I highly recommend that fellow ZJUers here on mitbbs pay a visit to this site sometime, if it will ever resume service again. I think it's something we ZJUers should be proud of. | s********e

旧论坛用户已全部导入新论坛，旧论坛用户名和密码应该可以继续使用。
如遇无法使用的情况，可能是新旧论坛迁移时密码加密问题，请发mail给

因为老头很忙，非常忙，老头是在措手不及的情况下被迫连续熬夜迁移论坛，没这
事儿之前老头是在熬夜工作。

这个可以有，但现在不能。
