For example, in crisy's case, she did summer intern in PA and paid PA state
tax. So when she filed her state tax return, since she lives in CA, she
probably needs to file a non-resident form as well, to take tax credit for the
portion she paid to PA. Also, she needs to file a state-tax form, most likely
a non-resident/partial resident form, to PA. In this way, she would not be
double taxed for the money she made in PA.
