背景:
我现在H1B在职,工作繁重且冷门前景不好, 公司十分政治化,所以我也没打算久待. 今
年不久前公司有一波大裁员, 我的大老板(白人老头,跟我隔着两层)被裁掉了.
现在我在申请graduate school,前大老板还在任的时候,我跟他说是要边工作边读part
time
,他说很高兴给我做推荐人.
但我这里的好学校的part time 硕士未必能申请上,所以我还想多申请几所别的地区的
好学校学校,但这样就说明我宁愿要辞职走人也要去读书了. 我是否该找他做这些学校
的推荐人呢?
我的担心是,前大老板虽然已经走了,但是跟我的上司(他的前下属)和不少公司里的人应该
还是有些私交的,我若向他透露明年要走人的打算,不知道他是会为了我的工作安全帮我
瞒到走人前呢?还是为了我的现任上司而提前告诉他?
ps. 推荐人还挺难找的,大学里认识的教授不多, 毕业设计的教授还走人了 | w**z

Thank You. I am a newbie on jumping ship and tend to get overwrought when
dealing with it. It is good to have you experienced people (if this is the
case) to give me some common sense on such matters

Actually there is one complication in my case: I intended to resign last
year. It was this ex-big-boss who increased my wage, promised me tuition
reimbursement for my study and persuaded me to stay. I took his offer and
said I will stay and do part-time study while remaining in the company.
Do you think this incident will hinder him from providing recommendation
letters to remote schools that I apply?
