Regarding insurance co., it depends on their original biz. For example,
national chains such as BCBS, Cigna, Aetna and Humma are losers because the
law caps their profits on business. In addition, lot of them have exposure
to private insurance market. Since they can no longer discriminate by
gender, age, pre-existing conditions, they have to change their models.
However, there are no historical data for modeling and may have huge swings
in the first few years.
Medicaid-focused companies should benefit because 16MM (hopefully) ppl now
will be incld. in medicaid. more people=more profits. | p********a
